submitted byLawrence - 10 months agoA: This accordion file system does NOT have tabs, such as months or numbers. Target is referring to the cutouts being tabs. I think this is confusing.

This is so cute but it’s cheap in the inside it’s cheap paper folder pockets, I’m so dissatisfied and disappointed. It was missing pockets as well. I do not recommend this. Not worth the price.

Good for my uses
I have now purchased four of these accordian files, and am back for a fifth. I'm using them to organize and store old letters and cards. I have had good luck with the handles and external sturdiness. The inside dividers are a manilla cardstock type material, so they will bend and tear with extensive regular use. I will stick to plastic files for things I need to access more regularly. For long-term storage of sentimental items that I don't access often (but still want to be able to find) such as letters and cards, these are perfect. And they store neatly in my old Lane cedar chest. Thank you UBrands and Target! Cheers to all in your organizing travels!

Broke 1st time I picked it up.
Loaded the folder with an average amount of paperwork. Not even tax documents and I went to Lyft the handle and it’s pulled right out of the box. These are very cheap and not built to carry a proper load for their size. Beyond exasperating Target.

Pretty but impractical
Ordered this because reviews were so good and now scratching my head a little. Maybe I’m too picky or got a used-returned item, but just in case others find it helpful: The dividers on mine were already bent and tearing upon arrival (and they’re not reinforced, consistently sized, or accompanied by labels/info on how to print labels). The clasp was also scuffed, there was wrinkling/signs of strain at the handle, and I noticed a couple sticky spots on the outside that would be tough to remove without damaging the matter paper. The pockets do seem generously sized, and the folder as a whole is certainly pretty. Alas, my impression is that the cheap construction means it’s unlikely to remain looking good for for more than 20 or so minutes of actual use. Bummer :(
