Q: Approximately how many hanging files fit in this container?

A: i have 47 in mine and it's stuffed. some are pretty empty (only 1-2 papers inside), but a few are quite full. I'm back to order a second box because the "quite full" ones are making it hard to get other files in and out.

When i ordered this through target drive up the one they gave me was colored in a sticky brown substance, i think it was chocolate. Once we cleaned it it was good but just kind of gross. When something is new it should be in relatively good condition

I bought this about a three weeks ago and in the first week of using it the cover fell off. It was easy to put back on but it still continues to fall off from the back hinge. It is missing the plugs that were supposed to be in it to keep this from happening. I have not put too much paperwork into yet but after looking at the other reviews I would expect for the handle or latch to break as well in the near future. I do not know how they can sell a defective item like they have been. Quality Control needs Quality Control to make sure these defective products don't leave the factory.

I've had this awesome file box for a few years now and noticed that one of the caps of the hinges has come off and the file box cannot stay closed when being carried. It does not appear that I've overloaded the file box, as it's always held the files I've stored and there is room to slide them around for accessibility, so I'm not sure what caused the part to pop off. I've reached out to customer support for assistance finding replacement caps. When I was looking at this, I'm finding that this is a common issue. Hopeful that Sterilite: a. has replacement parts readily available and, b. they improve the design for future file boxes! Aside from the part, I do like this box. I'd like to fix it and not have to buy a whole replacement. :)

I purchased the medium size filing box. I am using it to transport files. I put 25 hanging letter size folders inside. They fit on the side rails and for the most part they slide well, except for 1 or 2 hanging folders that drag, but I think that is the folder issue and not the box issue. I like the top storage area - I can keep paper clips, pens and tabs all in one spot for use of ease. I like that it is plastic and water can't damage the inside files. And you can't go wrong with the price, I paid; 13.00 odd dollars.
