Unapologetically You - by Jemele Hill (Hardcover)

Book Synopsis

Emmy Award-winning journalist Jemele Hill has made a career of speaking the truth, standing up for what's right, and being unapologetic. What does that mean?

It means standing up for people for people who need a champion, like Ida B. Wells-Barnett and Shirley Chisholm. Or expressing your joy even in hard times, like Coco Gauff and Mary J. Blige. And it means leaning into who you are and where you come from ... becoming fully and unapologetically YOU!

Jemele features stories of the diverse array of women who inspire her, including a wide range of thinkers, creators, and performers:

• Zora Neale Hurston, author of Their Eyes Were Watching God
• Ketanji Brown Jackson, Supreme Court Justice
• Ida B. Wells-Barnett, journalist and activist
• Shirley Chisholm, Congresswoman and presidential candidate
• Ruth E. Carte, costume designer for Black Panther
• Mary J. Blige, singer and actress
