After removing the old lampshade place the frosted glass lamp shade over the socket then hand-tighten the threaded ring onto the fixture's neck to secure the glass. Do not over-tighten. To replace a bulb unscrew the ring remove the globe install a new bulb then reposition the globe and reattach the ring. The frosted glass creates a warm welcoming glow while effectively reducing glare. This lampshade is made of frosted glass which will maintain its color even with long-term use. The cylindrical shape won't appear too unexpected. When used with wall lamps it can also add a sophisticated visual effect to hallways bathrooms and decorative walls.
