Q: how does the shade connect at the top? Is there a knob that screws the shade at the top?

submitted byTazia - 2 years agoTarget staff supportA: These are UNO fitter shades. If you have Target lamps, you need to remove the lightbulb, then unscrew the top half of the bulb socket's outer casing; it screws back on over the shade ring.

Q: I understand the shade has a slip uno fitter. Is there a way to adapt to fit a harp and finial?

A: As far as I know, you can adapt a spider fitter shade for an UNO lamp base, using an UNO adapter that holds a harp, but there's no way to adapt an UNO shade for a harp without doing a good bit of DIY.
