Q: I need to know how deep the spider or other bulb attaching thing is in the shade. My lampshade needs to be at least 8 inches above the bulb itself, so the spider has to be fairly deep into the shade.

Q: When I type in the item-number (074 08 0690) this is the lamp shade that comes up (I'm trying to match one I just boughT). The package on mine says the color is "off white" but the description here says "shell". Are these the same color?

Large shade incompatible with a lamp harp

The shade itself is nice, although the fabric is kind of pleated at one point, looking odd when it’s lit up. I would have given it four stars, if not for the fact that—although it is a “large” lamp shade—it is not compatible with a lamp harp (as most large/floor lamps require), so I instead had to place the ring loosely around the bulb collar of my existing lamp base. This causes the shade to tilt if even brushed against slightly. Super disappointing. I would return if not for the fact that I also bought a matching, smaller shade for my table lamp in the same room.

I needed a large uno fitter shade for a lamp I already owned and thought this was a great item for the price!! This was the color I was looking for and it was a little shorter than the shade I was replacing but I thought it would still look good for a fraction of what other retailers charge. I purchased in store and noticed some slight damage where the shade attaches to the bottom frame but decided I could live with that as it couldn’t be seen. Unfortunately the uno fitter would not fit on my lamp’s socket. After doing more research online I found uno fitters are most commonly 36MM or 40MM; the fitter on this shade has an opening of 30 MM. Measure your lamp socket if you are using for a uno lamp that’s not from Target. I decided to buy an uno harp adapter and buy the spider fitter version of this same shade.
