Q: Replacing shades. The shade I have now connects to be base of the lamp by the metal circle from the shade. The light bulb screws into the base keeping the shade secure. Is this how these shades work

These shades are not exactly what I expected and I'm still deciding if they are right. The pictures on the website do not accurately depict them when lit. They appear very saturated in color on the website, but are more opaque when illuminated. For this reason I gave them just 2 stars. They are well constructed like other lampshades I've purchased from Lamp's Plus.

Exactly as pictured. These lampshades are sturdy and good looking with a linen look on the outside. Just what I wanted. I would definitely recommend these shades to anyone. The inside cross bars are silver/chrome but they don’t show on my old brass fixtures. I used my current harps instead of the silver ones that come with the shades and they fit fine.
