Unwrap Fall Romance C

6th book in a series! I loved this idea and was so excited for it but I’m not reading 5 books. I wanted to unwrap this and start reading but nope. Great idea but do standalone only!

I am upset that it ended up being the 6th book in a series. If you are going to do a blind date with a book, make it the first in a series or a standalone. Getting the 6th book in a series is very frustrating because now I have to read 5 books in order for the one book to make sense. No thanks.

When you advertise something as “unwrap a fall romance” it should actually BE a fall themed romance. I got Promise Me, the second book in a MM kink heavy series. I love a good smutty read, but that’s not what was advertised and something like this should either be a standalone or restricted to the first book in a series.

Fun idea but I got book 6 in a series I’ve never heard of - now I need to read 5 other books before I can read this! These should either be book 1 or a stand alone books. Totally ruined the fun!

Complete disappointment! I received the 6th book of a series. I would have to buy 5 other books to the series before reading this. Waste of money.

Smut (which I don't hate) but also like the 6th book in a series. Returning.

I was really excited to unwrap my romance novel, only to find out that the book I received is Book 6 in a series. I understand the concept of a “blind date with a book” and actually think it’s a really fun idea, especially being able to choose the genre. However, if you’re going to sell books this way, they should either be standalones or, at the very least, the first book in a series. Receiving the sixth book in a series is extremely frustrating because I don’t own the previous five books, meaning I would have to purchase five additional books just to be able to read the one I received. That completely defeats the purpose of a blind-book experience and leaves me feeling like I received a book I can’t actually use. I was genuinely excited about this purchase, so this was a huge disappointment. Target should really consider limiting these selections to standalone novels or the first book in a series.

I did not read reviews. Just got it by the check out and sure enough mine is book 6! other stores do this but its to promote less known authors or at minimum are standalone/book 1 in a series. Very disappointing in the execution of this. Truly a disappointment. Will not do another mystery again from them unless they can fix their method and prove.

My daughter and I each bought one. Hers is the 2nd in a series and mine is 6th. Ridiculous. Now I have to read 5 others to get any value from this and she has to read 1other. Neither are a cute Romance either (like you'd expect from this type of packaging) Both more dark romance. Would make way more sense for these to be either the 1st in a series or a standalone book. Too bad you can't return. Don't waste your money.

Series Title

Great idea, terrible execution. Thought we would get a fall themed romance, but instead you get dark romance(smut) with trigger warnings. Not to mention they are the 3rd or 6th book in a series. Also the actual book is sold for cheaper in the same aisle.

I’m actually upset that I wasted $15 dollars on Book 6… regardless of it being a standalone, who does that? Also, I was assuming this would be a fall book (hence the cover?) but apparently not…

Why on earth would the book be a book from a series? The sixth book to be exact… would not recommend.
