Oval is oval
My daughter was just at the store searching for an OVAL dill pickle that she previously purchased. I noticed in the reviews that someone else mentioned the same thing. What is sold as an oval chip is not oval at all!! That is very misleading and frustrating. My family has been buying Vlasic products since I can remember; probably the 1950’s. An aunt of mine had a farm in Hemlock, Michigan and sold her pickles to the Vlasic factory in Bridgeport, Michigan. I don’t want to change unless I make them myself.

Not as full as expected
Purchased the 46oz. and the jar looks full. Once opened and went to fork some out it seemed 1/2 full. Now these were larger pickles and any other ones I get are packed in there. This one not so much.

Bad taste and yellow brine!
I Buy about 5 46 Oz jars a week I love to snack on these not sure if I git a bad jar yesterday or what is going on but when I opened then today they had a different taste to them and the brine looked yellow not like the other jars I have gotten !

Product is not as labeled
I like pickels so when Valsic first started making Ovals I started buying them . I have noticed that you can not find an Oval in the Jar anymore. I think you are falsely advertising this product now , make them Ovals or change the name.

Terrible tasting pickles
Just opened the jar and took a bite of one of these Vlasic Oval Hamburger Dill Chips and they were absolutely awful!!! I can’t get the nasty taste out of my mouth! What did you do to the recipe? I had to look up to see if they were recalled but nothing came up. Throwing these out. I would go back and see what you have done to alter the taste of these pickles.

These are the most disgusting pickles that replaced the Hamburger dill chips they have a horrible taste, texture and wish the old ones would come back. for the past decade I have searched for old jars and bought them from any Store that had old stock. My extended family of 60-85 have been exploring new brands. Now I guess its time to switch to gedney or Mt olive. Not as good as the old hamburger dills but better than Ovals.

Not The Same
These have been my favorite pickle chips until recently. I normally buy the ovals in multiples of the 46oz from my local Walmart. The flavor, texture, and brine smell have all changed. I saw a previous comment where Vlasic responded to this saying it’s common for things to change for the better? Please listen to your customers. I promise you this is not for the better. I just threw 4 of the 46 oz jars away. So sad. From the looks of it… your other customers are saying the same.

Mushy
The Vlasic ovals hamburger slices are mushy and gross. The flavor is dull and washed out. The slices are way too thick. They went in the trash. What happened to the regular hamburger chips? Vlasic has really gone downhill in this last year or two.

Who changed the flavor profile?
What happened to my beloved Vlasic Ovals??? The last 32 oz jar we purchased had an awful aftertaste. We tried rinsing them before eating them thinking maybe they were perhaps too salty. But it was more than that. The flavor has changed and I hope this is not some new formula your kitchen has developed. Not going to purchase any Vlasic products for a while and when we do, we will try a small container (just in case.) The numbers on jar are 4272324920 20:59 01540 2 with best if used by June 02, 2025.

I purchased a 32 oz jar, usually I buy a 16 oz jar but wanted to have plenty for a family cook-out. They are not ovals as they have been in the past. They are not crunchy as they have been in the past. I was very disappointed as I love extra pickles on hamburgers. I will have to try another brand.

Now with HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP
My wife bought these a week ago, and I was immediately struck by the sugary flavor. I hadn't paid close attention to the jar before grabbing a few. After tasting them, I checked to see if this was some new Bread & Butter pickle bought by accident...NOPE. I checked the ingredients, and sure enough, High Fructose Corn Syrup. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some one opposed to HFCS for the health reasons. I'm opposed because you've ruined the flavor of an iconic pickle; dill pickles shouldn't be sweet...not even a little. These are notably sugary. I'm sure it was some cost saving move. I guess HFCS is cheaper than vinegar or something. On another note, Vlasic whole dills haven't had their iconic crunchiness, and "Snap" for years. Do better guys.

Chemical taste in Vlasic Oval Hamburger dill chips
I bought two jars of these Ovals Hamburger Dill Chips and threw both jars away. The pickles were mushy and had a really bad chemical taste. Both jars were still vacuum sealed, so that was not the problem. I was very disappointed. I've always bought Vlasic pickles but will now have to reconsider another brand.

Great Flavor, but not Crunchy
Vlasic's have been our favorite pickles for years, but we haven't enjoyed them nearly as much since they changed to "Ovals". We love the flavor, it's the best out there, but they are no longer crunchy because that oval slice to make bigger pickles means you get more soggy pickle guts, and less crunch. We only buy them now when we can find jars that have really small pickles, and we miss the old, smaller crunchy slices.

Crunchy
These are the best crunchy pickle. Every pickle in this brand is crunchy like a good pickle should be. They are perfect sized for a sandwich or burger. Definitely my go to brand.
