    Love This 10/10

I played We’re Not Really Strangers with a friend and honestly didn’t expect much — I thought it was just some trendy card game everyone posts on TikTok. But once we got into the second and third levels, the questions hit hard. It made us talk about things we’ve never said out loud before, and it actually brought us closer. The cards are beautiful, the design is clean, and it’s super easy to play. But fair warning: this game will expose your feelings. It’s not really for casual fun or background noise. You’ve gotta be open to being real, and if you’re playing with people who don’t do deep talks… it might get awkward. Still, if you like having meaningful conversations and want to understand your people (or even yourself) better — this game is so worth it. 10/10 recommend for date nights, close friends, or when you’re in your feels and just want connection.

    Meh

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s ok. The questions in the “levels” are really incongruent and all over the place. I prefer Delve Deck or Love Languages cards.

makes friendships feel deeper and more meaningful

Playing We’re Not Really Strangers has been such a game-changer for me. It helped me reconnect with my friends in a way I didn’t expect—we laughed, shared stories, and even opened up about things we’d never really talked about before. The questions made us slow down and actually listen to each other, and that brought us closer together.

Best Game to get to know people

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i myself have a tendency to always ask people about their work and some surface question about their personal life. this game enables me to learn about my friends in a genuine way, asking the questions i don’t necessarily think of when having a conversation. it’s an absolutely great game, i love it. also fun for your friends to understand how you perceive them and they perceive you :) would recommend to anyone!

    Group Bonding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pulled this out in a group of 6 ppl, of varying levels of familiarity with each other, and we started with 12-16 level 1 questions. Everyone was eager to jump into Level 2. Deeper truths were revealed & it was clear we were sharing a special moment together. Surprisingly, the few Level 3 cards we tapped into weren’t really further revealing than Level 2. But everyone is eager to play again.

    So much fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Playing this as a couple is so enjoyable. Listening to memories and stories or relating on certain viewpoints. Then to play it with your children and listen to their own unique perspectives. This is such a great way to advance communication.

    Healed Unknowns

This might sound crazy, but I recently played this with an ex-boyfriend. We've spent over a decade going back and forth on whether we could truly be friends. Our breakup was amicable (no drama, no slip-ups) and we’ve always wanted to stay in each other’s lives. But we’ve struggled with blurred lines, boundaries, and the emotional residue that lingers after a relationship ends. As with any breakup, being kind doesn’t mean it wasn’t painful, confusing, or complicated. Playing this game completely transformed our dynamic. It gave us a digestible language that we hadn’t been able to find on our own. The questions were eye-opening in the best way - simple, direct, and honest, especially for him as he stumbles on his words a lot when it comes to emotions. The cards helped us say things we didn’t have the guts to say before. It was enlightening. Two people who love each other, but who can’t be together, finally found a shared clarity. The game helped us reach a peaceful place where we could let go of the what-ifs and resentment, and recognize that our connection doesn’t have to be active to be meaningful. We're not trying to "hang out" as friends anymore. We’re simply two people, at a distance, who will always care and this game miraculously helped us realize that.

    Fav game ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am truly fascinated by this game. Such a beautiful way to get closer to a person or a friendgroup. I played it the first time with two friends. We all had a rough week and the mood wasn‘t so good when we met. But after we started playing this game we really started to connect to each other and it was such a good hangout :). Thankyou for creating this game! Sometimes I struggle with finding good conversation starters and this game really helps!

    Game changer!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My partner and I were finding it difficult to sit down and build intimacy through personal and challenging questions so I thought a couples question-based game would help. What I bought was much much more than I bargained for, with “We’re not really strangers” I’ve deepened not only my relationship with my bf but my relationship with friends, family and colleagues. It’s made me more curious about others’ lives and more introspective. Thank you <3
