Weber Rapidfire Chimney Starter

This large chimney is essential for charcoal grilling. I don’t like the taste of lighter fluid and this is so simple to use. I wouldn’t use my Weber grill without one.

This makes the coals start burning nice and quick. Pour in your favorite charcoal up top and light some newspaper in the bottom and you're all set.

Works great - get a brick/paver underneath it. I have a slate patio and this got hot enough to make one tile flake away. 100% user error, but get one of those 12"X12" pavers to put underneath it.

I'm new to charcoal cooking and rather impatient, so anything to help speed up the process in establishing a hot bed of coals sounds good to me! This is easy to use and works great, especially when used with the firestarters.

It does exactly what they said it would do. I have the larger one. almost full it will heat to 500 degrees on a 22" grill.

I’ve had mine for years and works great. As an additional plus for this is that I use it for making coffee on the beach when camping out on fishing trips with my son. Just add a little charcoal, place it on the sand or a brick, light it up and place the coffee pot on top. Good hot coffee in minutes.

It makes the Smoker process so much more fun and efficient.

I've never found a better way to start a charcoal fire! I like this so much that I bought a friend one for her grill, and she loves it. Never fails to light the charcoal. And without the smell, chemicals, or fire risk of expensive fluid starters. A few crumpled paper sheets cost nothing. And, if you have the 22" Weber kettle, filling the starter to the top provides what I think is the perfect amount for most cooking work. And it has lasted for 20 years.

Great chimney starter. I got this to replace one that had rusted. I'm loyal to this brand because of consistent fast startups. Don't worry about the price; it's worth it for good results.

I have two of these; in less than 3 months, one plastic handle melted off completely, and the other is severely deformed. This despite following the instructions that were included. I boggles the mind that a product intended for holding flaming coals can’t handle the temperatures that the product produces.

It eliminates the need to use any chemicals. You can use either one of the paraffin blocks or do what I do and recycle a couple pages of old newspaper. This chimney guarantees a quick start without the jassle

This is the best way to start your charcoal. Just crumble up some newspaper and put it under the coals. Light it and in a few minutes the coals will be started. You can avoid that gassy smell of lighter fluid and have a nice clean fire to cook on.

I wanted to get away from chemicals to light our Bar B Que, I remembered my father-in-law had a cylinder starter he placed newspaper underneath and then poured the charcoal inside the top. I bought this today and crumpled a few sheets of newspaper loosely just like I had remembered. It smoked excessively at first so much so I thought about getting a blanket and doing smoke signals seriously. The paper was gone it was still smoking I wasn't sure if this was a fail or not. I walked in the house a few minuets later I returned to find flames and the charcoal glowing. Oh yes it was perfect and in less time then the pile takes. I was so impressed I did it again only with a full load of charcoal same impressive results with no chemicals just a few sheets of crumpled newspaper. The cylinder is made heavy-duty it's well ventilated to get those coals heated incredibly fast. It is worth the money and saves time. I love it!
