Guests are saying
Guests appreciate the rich flavor and versatility of this grape jelly, often using it for classic peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toast, and even in recipes. Many highlight the natural ingredients, particularly the absence of high fructose corn syrup, which enhances the taste. However, some guests express concerns about the jelly's runny consistency, which can make it difficult to spread. Overall, it remains a beloved choice for families looking for a nostalgic and tasty spread.

Best you will find
The flavor because of the real sugar used tastes a lot better to me than corn syrup. I also like this because I share mine with Oreoles and House Finches and sugar is better for them. Best Grape jelly I have found, making PB&J sandwiches and toast just fantastic.

A natural taste.
Just like Mom used to make. Not overly sweet. You actually taste grapes.

Good
I love it is the classic ingredient for the famous peanut butter and jam sandwich pastry as a filling for cakes cookies or as icing for certain meats

Good flavor - a little thin
I can't understand why no one can make grape jelly like we had years ago. This has sugar, not high fructose corn syrup but it's so thin which is probably why they don't call it 'jelly'. It's difficult to put on saltines as the liquid leaks through the little holes. This isn't limited to this batch. I've been buying this for years and it's the best I can find without making my own.

ALWAYS GREAT!
I think some reviewers are confusing this for jelly. Before posting bad ratings realize what you purchased. I love it.

Far too runny to be "jelly"
The flavor of this Welch's grape jelly is okay, though a bit too sweet for a product that does NOT contain corn syrup and is labeled as "natural." But it's incredibly runny, like jelly that hasn't "set" properly; even after refrigeration, it still mostly soaks into the bread and makes it soggy. I definitely won't buy this kind again.

Watery
Taste was ok but this was very watery so it was hard to work with. Had short expiration date.

New Recipe=Watery and Gross
I can’t believe Welch’s ruined the best product they sold. Make no mistake the package change is also a recipe change. They reduced the calories by 20 and carbs by 2 and the result is that this tastes like cheap generic jelly. It is watery and flavorless. I have eaten Welch’s for almost 50 years. Many times it was the only thing in my cart that was a name brand but I always found money for the splurge. Never again. It is clearly marketed to the 3-5 year old palate. It reminds me of grade school cafeteria sandwiches where the cheap jelly soaked into the bread. I would have happily paid more money for the traditional Concord grape recipe this used to be but I will not pay anything for this new watery slop. I’m done.

Yummy
Love Welch's Natural grape spread. Spreads easily on PB&J's, waffles, etc. Sweet but not sickinly sweet. We tried switching to another brand of jelly but we could not stand the texture(would not even spread). Only bad thing is that it comes in a plastic-not glass-container.

Watery Jelly
We've been buying this for years and lately it's so watery that you can just pour it out of the jar. For a while I thought maybe they had a bad batch, but it's been this way for at least a year now. Time to look for a new brand.

Hi HR, thank you for your comments. From the information provided, it would seem that an imbalance of pectin during the production of that particular container caused the product to have a loose gel. We will be forwarding your comments to our Quality Assurance Department for review. If this happens again, please call our Consumer Affairs Line at 1-800-340-6870 so that we may document information from the container, and help resolve the issue. Thank you Welch's Consumer Affairs.
