A: Palm Oil is used in this product because it is “natural” oil and helps eliminate the oil separation seen in other natural peanut butters. The palm oil is extracted from the palm fruitlet by pressing. Subsequent processing steps are non-chemical and thus palm oil can be considered “natural”. Many consumers want to serve natural peanut butters to their families, but they dislike having to stir the oil into the product. Skippy Natural allows you to enjoy the benefits of Natural Peanut Butters without having the added step of having to stir.

Had not bought peanut butter for 3 years... NEW and delicious!
I have started snacking on a teaspoon of peanut butter while reading, cooking, watching TV to satisfy small hunger pains and stay away from cookies chocolate! This has a wonderful deep rich flavor and the small chewy pieces of nuts make it more fun to eat. GREAT source of fast protein when super busy and not able to down a sandwich. Small jar too in the car when in a pinch during hectic days.

I would not buy it again
It said no need to stir! My question is what do you do with all that oil that is on top of product when opening jar. Also why add all that sugar, not very natural and way to oily.

Says no stir. BULL SPIT! My husband had to stir for ten minutes. If I paid attention to ALL THE OIL FLOATING ON TOP I wouldn't have bought it this time. Back to Jif brand that actually DOESNT NEED STIRRING

Misleading! This is not natural - natural would be just peanuts this is more than that! It has added sugar etc. Tastes like it too- yuck

So I read the response on all the one star reviews. They all state the palm oil being the issue . skippy has given a response acting like this palm oil is actually better but in reality it's not ! . It sounds like the company wants to distinguish between the different palm oils.. but this oil is still not good for cholesterol! Skippy if you stand behind the product how much palm oil is added to a 15 oz jar? if you're natural peanut butter with honey is healthy that should be an easy answer . That way I can gauge how much you stand behind palm oil ? It just amazes me that you can just make the peanut butter with peanuts , honey , salt and call it a day !

Amazing peanut butter
The best tasting peanut butter out there! Yes, it contains palm oil but it's not hydrogenated. Palm oil is not a seed oil, so I'm happy about that. I've tried other brands that only use peanuts and salt but the consistency isn't desirable.

Why can't you truly make it all natural. You put palm oil in it & that's makes it very unhealthy. Come on skippy you can do better than that. Have had many years to do it. Be a leader not a follower.

Added Sugar & Palm Oil - Run Away
Just another example of the processed food environment that you should avoid - do your research on added sugars and palm oil - stick with the other brands with just peanuts and salt - you will need to stir it at beginning and keep in your fridge, but it will be worth it.

Skippy Natural uses palm oil, not palm kernel oil. Palm oil is extracted from the pulp of the fruitlet and then continues through several non-chemical processing steps. Palm kernel oil is tropical oil derived from the seed of the palm fruit. Palm kernel oil, not to be confused with palm oil, is extremely high in saturated fat. It is often used in the manufacture of various cosmetics and in some brands of margarine.
Skippy Natural is made with Palm Oil, an all-natural, non-hydrogenated oil.

I like it for PBJ sandwiches, on a banana, or a big spoonful right out of the jar... the only "negative" is that it is looser than traditional Skippy with hydrogenated oils..

Since when does Natural peanut butter contain PALM OIL? If this were truly natural, the ingredients would be peanuts, natural sugar like UNREFINDED cane sugar, or coconut sugar or date sugar, and natural salt like sea salt or kosher salt. Don't fill the jars with a ton of UNHEALTHY, UN-NATURAL PALM OIL, then slap on a label that says Natural. You're lying to the public. Oh, and by the way...you DO NEED TO STIR IT because palm oil rises to the top and settles.

Stop preying on consumers with "Natural"
Love how the word “natural” in the marketing world can be slapped onto pretty much anything. Yes palm oil is “natural”… but very unhealthy and unnecessary in peanut butter. Bee stings, snake venom, and electric shocks are all “natural” as well, but do we want them in our bodies?

How foolish that I assumed this peanut butter would be just peanuts, and maybe salt. I opened up the jar and poured the oil off. Read the ingredients and like their other liquid peanut butters, it contains palm oil. Way to cheapen it up and intentionally make it unhealthy, Skippy! Won't buy this brand until they decide against putting garbage in their products.

On the bottle it say no need to stir on the site it say No separation; no oily mess; spreads easily but I bought 3 40oz bottle of skippy natural creamy peanut butter that had so much oil that I had to dump the oil out The peanut butter itself was very thin and this is too all three bottles so not happy and we love skippy Natural peanut butter with so disappointed
