If I could give it ZERO stars I would!

I have been eating only Skippy peanut butter for over 50 years. For a while now (and I thought it was just me or our store, but it's NOT), the peanut butter is just awful! It is so runny and oily that it literally won't stay on anything! It barely stays on the knife to try and spread it, and the taste is so off as well! I thought I'd never say this, as I have been a loyal Skippy only peanut butter family (even though my husband always preferred Jiff), but if you keep this new Skippy recipe, or whatever you did, I will be looking for a new brand. I don't care about whatever you used to have in the peanut butter, PUT IT BACK! I don't eat it every single day, or in massive quantities, I've been eating it the way it was over 50 years (and so did my grandma, and she lived to be almost 90), and I'm still here! The current Skippy is the WORST! And not worth buying anymore!

    I've always loved Skippy

I have always been a defender of Skippy peanut butter because it was better than any other brand available. I can no longer defend it. It has become so runny that it slides right off my bread. Please change it back.

Changed for the worst. What a shame

It never fails sooner or later a great product goes down the drain from corporate greed. The Millennials and Gen Z'ers fresh out of college getting management jobs are ruining everything. I'm 60 years old and have been eating Skippy since age of 2. It's NOT the same product anymore and has a weird off taste similar to store brand peanut butter. Corporate greed destroyed the greatest peanut butter ever. I will not be buying it anymore

Price Increase and lack of flavor

Why did Target and Skippy raise the price of peanut butter? The 16oz jar was .50cents cheaper in January! I thought this was fully grown and manufactured in the US. Cheaping on the quality and still raising the price. The flavor is not up to par.

Hi Eli, our products are manufactured here in the United States. The retail price is determined by a number of factors. There are expenses incurred by our company in the production of products, including wages, taxes, transportation costs, peanuts and other ingredients. If there was a quality issue, please contact us directly at www.PeanutButter.com!

    Please admit something has changed!

I have been purchasing skippy 2 packs at a big name bulk store for years. The recent pair has been incredibly oily. I used a paper towel to remove some of the separated oil, but it is still very liquid. It squeezes out of PB&J sandwiches. I am hoping this is a one time thing, but the other reviews make me fear it is not.

Product separates and tastes very slightly different...BUT..

....if it means no more palm products, I can deal with it and will continue with Skippy as my top brand for baking. I'm no tree hugger. But I've learned (from several sources, always get your information from *several* sources) that harvesting palm is astonishingly TERRIBLE for the environment. So if you had palm products in it before, fine I'll accept the new Skippy formula.

Hate to make a change but....

Grew up with Skippy. First apartment..Skippy. Marriage and family...Skippy. Retirement...Skippy? What happened? Our last few jars can only be described as oily and runny, so unappetizing. Gave it a few tries, wondering if we just got a "bad batch." The taste is similar, but it's hard to get past that texture (one of the reasons I've never been a Jif fan). Whatever the change is, please, please, please reconsider and give us our Skippy back!

    Disappointed

I was raised on Skippy Peanut Butter but I can no longer eat it. The taste is different and the consistency is oily. I have switched to another brand. If the old recipe comes back, I will be back to Skippy.

    No longer a good product

I've purchased Skippy for over 30 years, but the last two jars have been horrible. I suspect the ratio of oil to peanuts was changed to stretch it and keep the jar size and price the same, but it needs to be changed back. I threw out the first jar, thinking it was a fluke because Skippy has always had a thick consistency. The replacement jar is the same--there's so much oil that it rises to the top, and no amount of stirring helps. It remains an oily, runny mess that drips off the knife. Using this to make a sandwich for a small child would result in the child wearing peanut butter from head to toe. It's time to look for a new brand.

Very disappointed in the last few jars!

The last few jars of Skippy peanut butter have been very oily and disappointing! The texture is very off putting. I don't buy natural peanut butter because of this and hope that this change is not permanent. Please revert back to the previous texture or we'll be moving on to another brand

I just opened 2 jars of Skippy Creamy. Both were runny. I just purchased them Friday and they were in the same storage area I always keep the peanut butter. Are they safe to eat?

    Not a good change

Skippy creamy has been a household staple for as long as I can remember. But something has drastically changed in the last few months. Every time I open the jar, there is oil at the top. If I tilt the jar to the side, the peanut butter begins to slide. It smells different and it tastes different - and not in a good way. I thought maybe the excess oil was due to a recent bathroom remodel. The cabinet the Skippy is in shares a wall with the water pipes from the shower. Maybe it was too warm in the cabinet, so for a few days I kept the jar in a different spot. My theory wasn't correct though, because there was still just as much oil at the top from one day to the next. My other theory is that the peanut butter that goes in the squeeze bottles was put in the jars. Regardless, that still doesn't account for the taste being off. Please make it right. After almost 52 years, I really don't want to find a new peanut butter brand.

    WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!

We've always been a Skippy household but now I fear we must venture out into the Peanut Butter world to find a new favorite. I thought it was a fluke, but the last few jars we have purchased have been SO runny with a ton of oil separation. Skippy never used to have this, it was only the natural peanut butters you needed to stir before using. The consistency has also changed. Our beloved peanut butter is no longer thick and creamy but thin and watery. Yuck. How are we supposed to use this on crackers or apples? My kiddo refuses her peanut butter sandwiches now. SKIPPY, WHAT DID YOU DO?!?! PLEASE, GO BACK TO HOW IT WAS.
