Worx WA0010 (6) Replacement Trimmer Line for Select Cordless String Trimmers

I presently own several Worx products…a leaf blower and two WG173.8 20v trimmers. One is for my rental property and the other is for my family home. I recently had to purchase a new trimmer (same model) as my previous trimmer quit working after quite a few years (can’t remember the date of the previous trimmer purchase.). I have always recommended your products to anyone who has asked if I’m satisfied with your products. But I am now VERY frustrated with the trimmer (particularly the string spools.). I have always struggled with the string becoming stuck or melding together on the spool and therefore, I have to remove the spool and try to get the melded string loosened or just throwing the spool away and starting with a new one. I have tried several strategies to avoid this problem. I have sprayed the spool with WD 40, I have soaked the spools in water for 24-48 hours prior to using and I have most recently completely unwound the string and rewound before using. When trimming I try to keep the string advanced to try to avoid the string sticking in the spool, but I find when I get about midway through the spool the string is melded together. I’m thinking I may not be the only person having this problem. Also, not sure if the “free” spools are a different string type than the spools that are for purchasing?? All I know at this point is that I’m FED UP and will not be recommending your products in the future unless your company figures out a better spool string.

Great product. Tried making my own with the used up spools but did not work well.

I haven't had to use them yet, I got them so I didn't run out! But if it's like the others, they worked very!

The spools are great “aid” they’re available to order, which they weren’t. I had to wait almost two weeks.

I have 2 trimmers and three power hand tools and love all of them. The ability to use 3 chargers and batteries on each and every tool makes my life easier. Thank you for making them interchangeable.

Yeah, my edger wheel broke a while ago, so it sucks in case the string real fast. The string also melts and sticks from constantly taking it apart and six rolls isn’t enough since it goes through it so fast I need to order a dozen at a time.

I love being able to get free spools for life for my weed eater. Great perk!

I have had my trimmer for over 20 years and it is still reliable and when I have ordered the spools there was never an issue.

I’ve had my Worx trimmer for just under ten years and it still works like the day it arrived. The batteries still charge well and Worx has honored their lifetime free spools. I would say that I would buy one again but I might not have to. I love it!

This is a solid 'thumbs up' for WORX offering a Free Spools for Life 6-Pack to customers that purchase a trimmer/edger. The shipping charge is very reasonable when doing a price comparison to purchase six spools at a home store. Besides already liking WORX products, this type of offer influenced my decision to purchase additional products. I now own a WORX pole chain saw, WORX electric lawn mower, the WORX Pegasus work table saw horse, a WORX 4 1/2" corded power saw, a WORX Trivac blower/mulcher and vacuum, WORX multiple batteries and chargers. Two spools did not have end tips so cannot use, two used half way, the spring broke and the remaining spring were fused to each other thus not usable

Thanks for the spools...

The string on the spools unravels so quickly. It gets tangled up and/or breaks off. 6 spools usually last 2.5 months. I used 4 in 2 weeks. Frustrating.
