Nice knife and great value

I have owned the Four Star knives 43+ yrs. I came across this knife via email and had to look. I was attracted to the style, ergonomic design-and price. Well packaged and presented. The knife has good weight to it but no too much as to compromise balance. Although the blade doesn’t have the thickness of my 40 yr old ones, I am hopeful this German made knife will stand up to Zwilling standards of quality. It will get plenty of use and abuse in my home and I look forward to trying it out further.

Great little knife

Overall a very good knife. It's stays sharp, cuts well, has a nice balance & feels good in the hand. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's very light. A little more weight would help it slice nicer.

Veggie and Fruit prep!!

Beautiful knife! I use it for fruit and vegetables because of the sharper angle, it slices through the skin of fruit like butter. No snagging or ripping of tomatoes, just perfect slices. I've only had this knife about a month, but it's become my go-to for meal prep!

This little sucker is SHARP!

I bought the Bunka as a test before buying additional knives. It was such a good value I figured it would be par at best but love the size and maneuverability. Its the mini-me of a chef knife. And its soooo sharp so be careful--

Perfect weight and balance

The balance and weight of this knife are really perfect. It has become my go to Chef knife for any kind of preparation. The K tip is great for detail work. And the sharpness of the blade is fantastic. My only prep prior to using the knife was a quick stropping with 6 µm diamond paste, and then a finishing strop with one micron diamond. Razor sharp great edge retention and a wonderfully balanced knife.

Don't pass on this

What a great deal on a very good knife. Comfortable in the hand, easy to to adjust to it's cuts and the length makes it easier to work in the kitchen. I was concerned about the thin profile, but that fear went away quickly.

The knife is super budget/beginner friendly! The tip is super sharp for fine dices, and its very lightweight. This can be a plus or a minus for you. I prefer a heavier knife but my store didn't have any of the japanese ones in stock but thats okay! I love this knife, thanks!

I returned it. The Blade seemed flimsy. It seemed like a cheap made knife not worth the discounted price I paid for it.
