ZWILLING TWIN Select Take-Apart Poultry Shears

Disappointed with these - constantly have to tighten the screw to get the blades close enough to cut anything. Recently the spring broke, so I’m hoping I can find a replacement spring. We’ve had the shears less than five years and just had higher expectations based on the brand/price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have mixed feelings about these sheers. Majority I like them. Pros : They cut well, stayed sharp for cutting up 2 ducks. -Style modern and Sleek .They look nice. -They are solid made, no twist or weaving while cutting. -Smaller size in hope they would fit my small female hands. -Cleaning.At least I can actually get my grip on these. Love the ability to pop apart and clean. Aka soak in hot soapy water after use a d fully dry them out. Also like that there are less delicate parts like springs to get meats and bacteria to hide. -No wood or plastic as I was looking for. -Brushed metal look not high mirror finish so do not show scratches as much as my prior pair. - The cutout for bones could be a bit larger so it fits around a chicken joint without pushing it on as much. Chicken it seemed too small. Duck it took 3-4 tries to cut the joint off fully. Cons : They are a bit on the heavy side bit to me if they work well not suck an issue. Have strong hands. When I am older however this may present a ,- no longer use issue. -No idea why but the grips handles just feel awkward. -No instruction in package as to how to disassemble and reassemble. No manual of care or keeping rust proof. -Finally . My particular pair the blades do not match up well, big gap between them while cutting. I expected higher quality at this price. Conclusion: Glad I purchased them. Believe in the Zwilling quality and feel even so high priced compared to others. To me for the long haul worth the extra cost. I have bought many Zwilling products over the years and no regrets. I have a full coffee press, frothier and other misc that have been used allot over the years without fail.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These poultry shears cut with ease, even through bone. They are well built, ergonomically comfortable, and come completely apart easily for cleaning. Best I have ever owned.

Almost perfect, my only concern is the spring inside the screw, becomes rusty too easy…

It appears to be a well made product. The problem is that it does not work well for the purpose I bought it for. I meant to cut with it roasted poultry. I used it first time with roasted chicken - while it cut well through the skin and meat it was nearly impossible to cut through the bones , you really have to struggle with it.I had no such problem with my old shears.

Well designed and manufactured. Very easy to use and effective at taking apart a bird. Easy to clean too.

When you take the sheers in your hand, you immediately recognize quality. And when you start shearing, the first impression gets reinforced.

Very well made. Sharp blade and good size. There is one big fault. More often than not when I try to cut through a chicken back or bones I end up opening them until the halves separate. When I look at how open they need to be to separate I would not have thought this would happen, but pretty much every time I have used these it happens. At times I feel that the spring is making it more likely to happen. I may remove the spring and see if it still happens. I did see another review where the person was having the same issue.

The build quality, fit, and finish are excellent. While they didn't work for what we had planned (not poultry), I would not hesitate to purchase more if our needs changed.

Will not cut skin. Rusted. Returned. No refund. Still waiting for promised, credited item.
