Trace and cut the drywall opening, insert the low-voltage bracket or winged plate into the opening, then fasten the wall plate to the bracket with the provided screws so the plate mounts flush with the wall.
Some low-voltage mounting brackets are adjustable to fit wall thicknesses from 1/4" to 1".
Flexible low-profile cable plates are described as holding up to six (6) low-voltage cables at a time.
Connect the coax cable to the rear of the insert (or back of the wall plate), secure the insert to the plate with its screw, then attach the coax to the front F-type connector.
Most plates use standard single-gang or 2-gang openings. Where specified, a 2-gang bracket opening is listed as 3.625" x 3.5" and a single-gang bracket opening as 2.125" x 3.5". Faceplate overall dimensions are listed separately in some entries (examples: 4.50 x 2.75" or 4.5 x 2.8 x 0.25").
