Many products state “All skin types,” while others specifically list combination, normal, oily, acne-prone, sensitive, and dry skin as suitable.

They are usually applied as the final step in the evening routine to clean skin (often after toner) and left on overnight. Some products specify rinsing off in the morning; patch and gel formats are applied directly to target areas. A few listings include frequency guidance (for example, use 2–3 times per week for trial masks).

Targeted formats include nose patches/strips designed to absorb sebum and clear pores, and individually shaped gel or sheet eye patches made to hydrate and plump the under-eye area overnight.

Many items are unscented or labeled fragrance-free; some are described simply as “Fresh” or explicitly state “no fragrance added.”

Some masks are labeled hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested or clinically tested for skin irritation, fragrance-free, and/or non-comedogenic to reduce the risk of irritation.

Features include hydrocolloid and hydrogel technologies, high-adhesion or airtight seals, non-greasy formulations, and flexible-fit designs that prevent slipping and maintain contact through the night.
