@thebutterscotchco Started some habit tracking this month after finally reading Atomic Habits. I loved that in some ways, I already have daily habits that I never compromise on (morning workout, 64 oz of water per day, skincare routine, journaling), but also realized I could work on some other habits I keep telling myself I would like to incorporate into my daily life, but never seem to do so. The author sets out 4 “laws” to help you achieve a new habit, while breaking an old, bad habit - cue, craving, response, reward. And in doing these 4 “laws,” you complete a habit loop. To create the new habit under these laws, you need to make the habit obvious, attractive, easy, and satisfying. The author emphasizes that habits are small things we do each day (atomic habits) that give us results. Without going into much further detail, as this caption will end up being an essay, the author sets out examples of how these would work with common habits people try to form such as avoiding snacking or working out. One of the recommendations he makes is tracking your habit and checking off each day on a calendar when you have completed that habit. I am a planner kind of girl and love a checklist! So I have decided to track 1 habit for the next 30 days that I have been wanting to implement. I found these cute habit tracker post-it at target.
