I have been using the Sun Joe for the past 3yrs , off and on .It does an incredible job of digging up the loose grass and debris ......But I noticed the scarifier blade is lower on one side than the other !Still does an great job and makes the neighbors jealous !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this right before summer and started using it immediately. It does exactly what it says it does. A few things changing out the blades from the dethatcher to the scarifier and vice versa is not super easy. The plastic it is made with is super cheap that within the first 3 uses I had a broken piece on the flap and due to that the bag where everything would get caught in would fall off.

I am not a fan of maneuvering the cord around, but that comes with electric machines, and the cord clip helped control it. The motor was strong enough to handle my lawn and remove quite a bit of dead grass and clippings. The machine is wide, about 15 inches, and on the middle setting with the scarifier, it removed a full bag after each 10 feet of lawn. A larger bag would cut down on the stopping and starting to continuously empty the clippings. I appreciate the option to use either the power rake or scarifier function. I have only used the scarifier, so I have not had to change out the parts. There are 5 settings for depth, so you can choose what best fits your needs. The bag comes on and off easily to dispose of clippings and put back on. Overall, this has been a great addition to my lawncare collection!

We have trees that have tiny leaves and those leaves drop below the grass and choke it out to make bare spots. This dethatcher was super easy to setup and also easy to use. I started off on a small area of the lawn and it picked up a ton of thatch while leaving the grass. I'm a fan.

First dethatching with my new Ag805e. Lawn about 18000 sq ft. Went well except what I believe to be major design flaw which I didn't see any review pointing out and little info in manual. The air intake plugged after the first hour of use. Motor safety shut unit down. I cleaned filter with brush but found it difficult to clean and see no easy way to remove. My fix was to use a covid mask taped over the inlet. Much easier to clean and change!

My lawn has always had a dull type of look to it and no matter the amount of fertilizer I add it just didn't change its appearance. Well I use sun Joe's dethatcher almost a month ago and I am surprised with the results, seems my lawn didn't need all those expensive products but just a simple dethatcher job to help it grow beautifully. A little annoyed that I wasted money on other stuff llwhen all i needed was this dethatcher, but happy to have found my solution. I have st Augustin grass and a mix of "who knows what else" so it definitely will work with different types of grass. Highly recommend 10/10

It is good for a medium-sized lawn and probably not for commercial use. I love that I don't have to rake when I'm done because the collection bag catches it all. It was also easy to assemble and store.

The assembly process was fast and smooth, It came with easy to follow instructions. We have noticed some brown patches on our yard that were just getting worse with time and after he started using it, We saw great improvement and a healthier grass growth. He also likes that It's electric, no need for gas! We highly recommend to everyone to try and we will continue to use.

The cabin is in the forest and we're surrounded by beautiful scenery, however our yard was just so brown and dead. This machine was so easy to use! We have seen so much of a change in the last week! This machine is wonderful and must have if you're having issues with you dry brown yard.

It charges pretty quickly too. The scarifier functions cuts deep for thicker growth. You can control the depth ranging from -.4 in to .4 in. Comes with a easy to remove bag too. Comes with a 2 year warranty. I have used other Sun Joe products and this lawn machine is of equally good quality. You can also use this for leaves in the fall. Overall a fabulous lawn machine that is electric with no maintenance requirements and space requirements for storage.

This year, the lawn has not been very pretty like it used to be and he is finding resources and ways to make it like before. He was very excited to use it. The instructions were easy to follow and took him very little time to assemble. We love how it doesnot use gas. He started to use it and seems happy about it. The bags do fill quickly, so needs to empty it quite often. We think the dethatcher did a good job. We couldnot believe there was so much of dead grass, and it didnot affect the good grass. The lawn is looking a little better than before. He plans to use it again fora better result. We are so far happy with this dethatcher and will continue to use it.
