Description

The Bare Home Weighted Blanket is made through a unique process to evenly distribute weight within 4"x 4" dual layered pockets of 100% cotton to provide ideal soothing pressure across the entire blanket. Each compartment contains an optimal combination of fiber filling and nontoxic ultra-fine glass beads for perfect breathable temperature control. We recommend picking a blanket that is around 10% of your body weight. Weighted blankets are meant to cover your body and are sized to cover just the top of your bed. Our weighted blanket helps relieve tension naturally and provides sensational comfort. The weighted bed blankets come in various weights and sizes to fit your needs. The blankets also come in a variety of colors including gray, blue, green, purple and black.

  • A: Our Weighted Blankets have either a Cotton exterior or a soft polyester Minky exterior. The inside consists of a layer of polyester fiber fill and sand-like glass beads. Each person has a different perfect temperature and any cover Sheet, Blanket, or Weighted Blanket will affect each person differently. The only way to know how hot this will make you is to try it; as Cotton is a natural fiber, this option would be the best choice if you are concerned about being too hot.

  • A: As each person will sleep better under different conditions, we cannot guarantee that this will be a good or a bad option for you. Please note, we have added to our Weighted Blankets; some have a Cotton cover and others have Minky cover (this is 100% polyester). Both have a polyester fiber filling as well as a glass bead filling to provide the weight to this Blanket.

  • A: We suggest purchasing a blanket that does not hang over the sides of the bed to prevent your blanket from slipping off while you sleep. Weighted blankets are meant to be sized for the person, not necessarily the bed; choose a blanket that is around 10% of your body weight, if you are in between sizes, round up. The 80"x87" weighted blanket should only be used for sharing.

Q: Is the blanket polyester or cotton? The on-line product description reads "all cotton" with Oeko-tex certification. Per product labeling there isn't any cotton in this comforter. Did I receive the wrong item?

    This blanket is 50/50. Not good, not bad. The material is a bit too rough, so it gave me a rash. Put it in a duvet you say? 20 lbs is heavy to maneuver into a duvet. Does it weigh you down? Yes, but it is equivalent to a Full so not very large. If you kick it off during the night, forget it you will not put it back over you. It is best used over the covers with someone else putting it on. Best use case is for a child. Then it is large enough and the parent can put it over the covers.

    Leaks sand

    Started leaking sand afte r one month of use. Never washed, no pets, can't find a hole. When shaken over hardwood, can hear the granules hitting the floor. Previous weighted blanket that was a quarter of the price lasted almost a decade before getting a hole. (1star on the "washes well " option is mandatory but I never washed it)

    60' x 80' 17lb. nice blanket

    Wanted to try a weighted blanket and this is the one I ended up with. They recomend blanket weight of 10% of your body weightn I went a little on the heavy side as I am not planing on buying another weighted blanket. The weight of the blanket is comforting but it was not as comforting / relaxing as I was thinking. It is a good product and the quality is good. I would go with a lighter one as getting into bed and getting the blanket in postion takes some getting used to.

    Pointless when used with cover

    I have a 15lb weighted blanket thats heavier than this blanket and a lot more securing and helpful for pain. Its a nice blanket but absolutely useless as a weighted blanket inside of the cover as it doesn’t stay in place, and shifts all to one side

    WEIGHTED BLANKET + cover

    I loved the packaging, the texture, the size, basically everything about it. This is definitely a great quality blanket and if you have the money then go for it. The ONLY issue and I mean ONLY issue is that I bought the cover that goes with the weighted blanket and they don't seem to match. You can only tie the corners with the cover which is fine It's not a big deal it's still amazing and I definitely recommend buying the cover with the blanket so that you can keep the blanket protected. AMAZING buy for a blanket person lol.

    Woke up covered in beads

    I loved this product but within 5 months of fairly gentle use, the seam came apart. I woke up covered in glass beads and am now concerned for the safety and wellbeing of my pet.

    Bleeds fuzz

    I love the weight of this blanket but the fabric bleeds fuzz and looks terrible if you don't use a duvet cover. I thought it just gathered the fuzz but when I tried to remove it I realized it's coming out of the fabric. I wish it didn't do that because I love it otherwise and the weight makes it challenging to stay put within a cover.

    Good choice!

    I love the distribution of weight in this blanket. Stays put at night. I can easily move around under it. The downside is it doesn’t have a removable cover. That being said, it says it’s machine washable, but I haven’t tried it yet. It also has loops to add a cover if you’d like to. Good weighted blanket choice for a first timer.
