The model dominated the World Rally Championship (WRC), winning 46 victories and six constructors' championship titles in a row (1987-1992). The car is distinguished by a distinctive, aerodynamic design with an aggressive front air intake and a distinctive rear. The Delta was equipped with a turbocharged petrol engine.
