The massager sits on the peak of your shoulders, behind your neck and the straps are placed going from the front of your body to the back. I’ve watched people try and latch the strap on the mid to upper body from behind and you can easily doing it at the lower back (much easier) and just let the strap pull up naturally to hold the massager in place. There are four buttons, easily accessible, that allow you to control heat, mode, etc. The unit performs extremely well, digging in deep and loosening any knots you may have in the upper neck region. Overall, it has a very tight grip and it holds on to your neck via the straps, so you can either sick back and relax, or multi-task and do other things as well. For me, this was definitely worth the price.
