This is our second set of "cutting" play food. The grandkids still use the first one. We love the realistic look, as well as how the products last.

Weak Velcro
We love Melissa & Doug products, however, this is the first one that we’ve had issues with the Velcro. It’s super weak. And no, it’s not a weak overtime. I requested a replacement and it was exactly the same. I plan on just switching out the Velcro myself as my kids love cutting their fruits & veggies!

Weak velcro
I bought this one week ago for my daughter and I am very disappointed in the quality. I am shocked because Melissa and Doug toys are normally my favorite very high quality toys however this cutting fruit set is very disappointing. Multiple pieces barely hold together and it’s brand new. It seems like the design is bad and the Velcro needs to stick out more than it does to actually be affective.

Cool toy but disappointed
I was really excited about this toy and had been wanting it for a long time. Finally got it for my daughter. She's been playing with it for 2 months or so and the kiwi no longer stays together. One of hte other fruits is starting to wear away too. I was hesitant b/c it was velcro but I thought it'd last longer than this.

We’ve had this toy for less than a week and the paint is already substantially chipping off of the toy fruits. I loved the concept of this, but at this rate they most likely won’t last. This is my first Melissa & Doug purchase, with this quality it will most likely be my last.

My children 5 and 6 have always been so fascinated with the sliced fruit and veggie toys. They’re at the ages now where pretend play is in full force! Cute, but feels a little cheap. The paint chips off pretty easily. The wooden box it comes in has already broken. The cantaloupe is made of cheaper thinner wood than the others. And the knife slices through pretty realistically. It is really cute don’t regret buying it just think the price should be lower.
