    What happened???

    Been using bits for 46 yrs. The last 8 purchased, at different times/places, are full of fat & hard pieces. I tried a jar of pieces, & they seem to be the bits & not pieces. Assembly line switch?

    I might buy again if this pouch was a one time failure

    Real Bacon Bits 6oz exp Aug 19 2026, lot 07:49 Est 199 P, large rocky chunks. I hope this was an anomaly and not a forever change. I've been buying it for years and this was the first bad pouch. Our dog gets the bigger chunks.

    Very disappointing decline in quality

    Real Bacon Bits have been my favorite for years, to the point where I usually purchase the 6oz bags in a 6 pack/case. However, the quality has declined sharply this year, with 2 of the 4 CASES I ordered being so fatty, greasy and/or undercooked I found them to be inedible. At 25-35 dollars per 6-pack case, and non-returnable, it's too expensive to keep taking a chance on them being good or not. So, sadly, I will no longer be purchasing them. My oatmeal and salads will not be nearly as delicious without them. Please do better Hormel!

    Definitely would buy again!

    Our family absolutely LOVES Hormel bacon bits! I put them in casseroles, caeser salad, scrambled eggs. Read that they are discontinued. Went and bought all 567g pouches at store. Now will use sparingly.

    Don't buy! Terrible product!

    What happened?! These bacon bits are inedible now! Been using them for years. Now they are so hard you can't chew them! I am stuck with two jars I can't use. They used to be so good but I will never buy again!

    What has happened to the quality

    I used this on baked potato,salad,soup and cheese fries.First the bacon crumble is not crumbles anymore.Now the bacon is in big chunks hard and fatty. I will no longer buy this again if you don't change it back to original.

    I won't buy tis product again

    I've used this product many times in the past without any issue, however this last time it was terrible. I don't know if I got a bad batch or if they changed the product but there was no flavor and it was like chewing rubber. This totally ruined a breakfast meal that I made, I won't be buying this product again.

    20 oz REAL CRUMBLE BACON IS NOW LARGLY CRUMBLED GROSS FAT

    Quality went from stellar 2 horrid. Been buying it 4 years & it had a rare piece of fat N it. Bags R now 1/2 fat pieces. Hormel replies 2 complaints but has done nothing 2 remedy n over a year.

    No, I will never buy this product again.

    Like most foods in America it's crap! Use to be a quality product! Now it's imitation bacon with some big hard pieces that can crack your teeth! I want my money back. And you get less and now pay twice as much? You no longer have integrity Hormel from going from quality to crap and charging more for it! I will no longer buy this product. So disappointing!

    Ready to try them, but one question...

    I bought a bag of your real crumbled bacon five pounds. The bits in the bags the cooked and they are a nice size. But on the 20 oz bag it says, "5 lbs of uncooked bacon." So, what's the story...

    Excellent Food Product

    Your Hormel Real Bacon Bits is a very great product. It's delicious and for me, it has health benefits. It stops skin problems and makes my skin look radiant. I rarely eat it, but when I do, I really love it! Thanks for making this outstanding product! I sprinkle it on cooked Angel Hair Pasta, and it tastes very good, like this. It goes great on eggs, omelettes and on top of salads, as well. It can also be sprinkled on top of cheese burgers, sandwiches, and mixed into meatloaf, before cooking it. Thanks again for this great product!! Love it!!
