It was awesome that time was metal, but it was ruined by cork being added to the back makes it uneven to have straight lines. Thinking of removing the cork? Don't it leaves a sticky glue residue that cant be removed. Otherwise a good ruler if you flip it upside down so it sits flat and use it to drawn unmeasured lines.

Better for measuring than as a straight edge
Ok for the price. While it is made of metal, it is thin metal and quite flexible. If you primary use is as a measuring stick then it will do the job. If you plan of using it as a straight edge for drawing lines it is just ok. The cork backing raises the metal enough to allow for pencil wiggle under it. Metal side down - the thinness and sharp edge of the metal doesn't provide a good secure feeling for drawing lines with a pencil. so if your primary use is as a straight edge for line drawing spend the money for a more solid metal ruler.

Very nice quality
Worked well for me. I will say that in the picture, the ruler is curved on one end. The ruler I got was flat on both ends - a perfect rectangle. I don’t have a problem with it, though. It’s better quality than a plastic ruler, so it’s useful for things like art and journaling.

Standard Metal Ruler
This is your standard metal ruler. It's metal on one side and has a cork material on the back. It's simple and sturdy. I saw the review below and I had no issues with the markers on the actual ruler...they were all accurate!
