Q: Can a man use this to stop hair growth?

  • A: I tried this for my face being a black man with coarse hair from shaving, and it changed the skin on my face by sealing up the hair folllicle. I had to stop using this product and now I have been going to a dermotolgies for the last four years. So depending on your skin sensitivity, I would stick with a male hair removal product.

  • A: It can be, yes. I would advise to stay a bit away from areas that remain moist as it could cause the lotion to spread to areas you don't want it if that makes sense. (as you would with any lotion to avoid PH imbalances or infections) I use on my legs, armpits, bikini line and far below belly button without issue. You do, however, have to keep up with it to see results - more than 2x a week at least, a little everyday preferably. Results are not permanent either, if you stop - hair returns to normal within a growth cycle. I like to think I have seen some lasting reduction, but it may be wishing thinking. Even if I only shave once that week I still use it honestly just because it is such a nice gentle lotion. I have very dry sensitive skin and this is one of the few that doesn't irritate right after a shave. I would recommend it. I also use this in conjunction with Aveenos Positively Smooth shave gel which boasts the same hair reduction goal, and is also good for sensitive skin.

Highly Recommend!

I’ve been using this a few times a week for a few years now and my hair growth in the places in which I apply it are genuinely amazing. I noticed results within a few weeks and with continued use, it’s like an ultra cheap alternative to laser hair removal. Highly recommend!

Great so far!!

I’ve only used it 2 times so far. I have very sensitive skin. I haven’t had a reaction what so ever. Normally after I shave my legs are covered in bumps and they feel gross because my skin just freaks out with change but this really soothed it. I normally start to get prickley by mid-day if I shaved in the morning. I am still super soft all over my body. I know it’s silly but that’s huge improvement for my body hair. I have dark hair and it grows so fast. I am very sensitive to smells and I found that this smell was actually really nice. I loved the feel of the lotion and can’t wait to continue to try it. I’d give it a 5 star if I’d done it longer but it’s only my first day!

Slow to get results, but worth it!

I have used this for about 1 year now. I was a little annoyed at the cost when applying it twice a day for 6 weeks, but I comitted and finallly started seeing results after 6 and kept at it for 8 when I switched to once a day and I'm happy with the overall results. I have dark hair and fair skin, so this helps any stubble look less noticable and is especially amazing on my knees where I almost always miss a spot. I'm confident wearing holey jeans, shorts, skirts year-round without waiting to get hairy enough for a wax.

It helps over time

I've been using this lotion for about a month now and can tell that it is helping. My leg hairs are growing in much slower and are finer than they used to be. It also helped with keeping in grown hairs at bay. This is one of my biggest problems, so I was excited to find something that helps. I typically wax my arm pits and bikini area, I'm looking forward to seeing if the hair grows back slower.

I had such high hopes for this product but it’s a gimmick - it did not slow down hair regrow the whatsoever. It’s an ok moisturizer and there’s nothing special about the fragrance. There are other moisturizing products at a much lower price point that perform better than this. I cannot recommend this to anyone nor will I repurchase.

Moisturizing and works well enough!

This lotion is very moisturizing and does inhibit hair growth to a degree. I'll admit, I've missed a day or two for application, but I am still very pleased with how well it slows the hair. Not to mention how soft it leaves my skin. I'll be getting this continuously.

Would definitely recommend!!

I have barely used this one week and notice SUCH a difference!! I used it after a chemical hair removal (Nair), not shaving, but I always use the chemicals. I have course, black hair and not having to shave so often is amazing! The growth has slowed and I notice the hair is thinner. I have been using it twice daily and anticipate one bottle will let me 2-3 weeks. I already ordered another and recommended it to a friend! I enjoy the smell but it is strong while applying and I can understand not all people like the same scents.

Nice product, not for thick hair

I have very thick, dark hair on my legs and bought this product to try to reduce the need to shave every day in the summer. I’ve been using it once/day for a few weeks now and it’s making a small difference. The issue is that I went through the first bottle in less than 2 weeks, and I’m only using it half as frequently as it says to! But I will say this: it’s smells nice, feels nice, and would probably work better if my hair wasn’t so thick.

A personal miracle product

I initially did a trial on a patch of my arm to see if it would irritate my skin (it didn't, it's quite moisturizing). I didn't notice much difference in hair after using it night/day for a couple weeks, but the hair on my arm is already thin/slow to grow/easy to remove. HOWEVER when I started using this on a patch of VERY stubborn hair below my chin, I was amazed. Ever since I had a tussle with disagreeable birth control, I've had this rather large patch of thick, dark hair underneath my chin that grows back with a vengeance within 8 hours of plucking, doesn't respond to waxing, and would need shaving daily. At best, I could get it down to 5 o'clock shadow for half the day and I have to color correct and use foundation. I've been so embarrassed waking up with neck stubble every day. But in under a week of using this twice a day, IT WORKS. I nearly cried when I woke up to smooth, hairless skin for the first time IN YEARS. And continues to be smooth after 3 days of NO plucking/shaving. I thought my only option left was going to be pricey laser removal. After 4 days of no plucking/shaving, I've seen barely noticeable regrowth, MUCH lighter and thinner than before. I'm truly shocked, and so happy this worked as well as it has.

I mean it may be moisturizing

I saw no reduction of hair like it claimed. The strong, disgusting scent is overpowering. It may be a body moisturizer too, but like my regular body lotion is much more moisturizing than this. This is great for those who love overpriced scented lotions that provide a mediocre level of moisture.

Listen, I didn’t believe it but had to try it. I always shower and feel like my leg hair has grown back in five minutes. And I have corse hair. Even after the first couple uses you notice your legs feeling smooth longer. I’ve been using it for about three weeks. And I can tell a difference but I don’t use it two times a day like recommended. Just immediately when I get out of the shower after I exfoliate and shave. Smells good too.

Godsend for PCOS Hirsutism!!!

I have PCOS and get coarse, fast growing facial hair. slowing hair growth

It's by no means a replacement for laser hair removal, but I can say my leg hair is growing back slower then normal! I also don't use it 2x a day like the directions say to, I only use it when I shave which can be like once a week. Plus, I have sensitive skin and have not had any sort of reaction, which I was wary of since I am sensitive to products like Nair or Veet. Very moisturizing, not sticky, doesn't take forever to rub in, I recommend!
