Sally Hansen Bleach Cream For Face & Body - 1.6oz

So this formula is definitely a lot weaker than the previous, but it still does work and they really is no other good alternatives on the market. Whereas the previous one used to be so strong, it would turn my hair from black to blond/orange if I left it on for even 6 min, this one does require the full 8 min and you need a much thicker layer for it to be effective. Also I used wax strip the next day to remove some chin hairs and I typically don’t have sensitive skin but I guess the area was still delicate as it caused a chemical burn. Fortunately the area recovered but just be careful and don’t leave it for more than 8 min and make sure to use cool water. It is great stuff though, beats seeing hair stubble with alternative forms of hair removal.

I always used the original formula for bleaching the hairs on my upper lip and as great as it was it did have flaws. Ran out too quickly and my hairs did not stay bleach long enough. But with this new formula I would say it’s just as strong if not stronger than the last formulation. It works so much better and results last 2 x’s longer. And finally it wont run out after only a few uses. More bang for your buck. I know plenty are saying this stuff is horrible but give it a try first.

This new formula is the JAM !!! Out with the old powder and pungent bleach fumes! This cream bleach is better than the ones from the salon when you pay 10x more ! My bleaching has just been upgraded ! By the way I used to have cystic acne and trust me , that is not from bleaching, that’s from not washing off your makeup and dirt build up from the skin! Love you Sally Hansen even more! Been using this brand and Jolen since my teens !!! Ahh time flies

Burned my skin!!! This stuff is awful now compared to the old formula. Wish I had read the reviews beforehand.

I’ve been using this to bleach my arm hairs for a very long time! Contrary to other reviews I actually don’t mind the new formula and think it stays on better. Definitely still burns/itches a bit so I wouldn’t use on face (I’ve never tried it on my face so idk how bad it is on there), but I’ve recently been getting patches of eczema from taking accutane and it practically melted my dry skin off! It was definitely my bad bc I shouldn’t have put it on the dry patches that I had, but I wasn’t thinking about it. Learn from me and don’t use it if you’re having an eczema flare up!!!!

This gave me cystic acne all over my face, neck, and chest and barely bleached the hairs. I never get cystic acne but the reaction I got from this was AWFUL and I’ve been having to cover my body because of how bad my skin looks. The old formula was so much more effective and never broke me out.

The old formula was the best. This new formula is crap. It barely dyes the hair and it burns your skin so bad.

The new formula does not work as well and is more of a gel/lotion consistency? It used to be more of a whipped texture and would foam a bit when mixed with the activator. The new formula does not feel as effective.

I have used the original formula for 30 years. This one does nothing!!!

This is the updated/reformulated Sally Hansen hair bleach. This version comes with two creams, a mixing tray, and a spatula. You mix the activator cream and the hair bleach together and then apply to the desired area. I've used this product for many years and prefer this two step cream process over the previous one with the pre-conditioner and the powder + cream. It's easier to use, stays on your skin better, and is less messy than the powder + cream version. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it's not as strong as the previous version.

Total garbage :( I have used the original powder and cream formula since middle school and it was perfection. This new reformulation actually quite literally does nothing! Leaving on for the maximum does nothing either. Do not waste your money. It really doesn’t work at all!

I have been using this product for over 20 years. I like the fact they changed the formula to 2 creams instead of powder and cream BUT it does not work!! It does NOT bleach the hair even after 10 minutes as instructed. And the instructions say to rinse it off your skin but don’t rub it in. How do your rinse off a cream with our wiping it off your skin under water? It doesn’t come off with just water hitting it. Terrible. Please go back to the old formula.

Works about as well as the old formula. I like that the activator and bleach are different colors (pink and white) so that you can see if they are mixed well. Be sure to leave it on for less time than the old formula. I left this on 5-10 minutes, whereas with the former powdered formula I'd do 10-15 min. It leaves some irritation but it goes away, same as with the old formula for me. Does not come with skin conditioner anymore, but I never used it. I prefer this new larger tray and spatula.

i would give zero stars if i could. why mess with a really great product, the new one is horrible, inconsistent since there is no measurements and does NOTHING. I am so disappointed i have been using the previous formula for 10+ years. They raised the prices and now sell cheap stuff either less product, with no pre conditioner. Really bummed.

not only did the bleach not work on the hair, but it burned my skin and left a scab. not sure why the company changed the ingredients but this version is terrible

Super easy to use and didn’t irritate my skin at all. Love that the directions are also very clear.
