This is my 1st ukulele and I know I wanted a concert ukulele made with a Spruce top board. Well this one is made of laminated Spruce top not solid wood. I did not expect a solid wood Spruce at this price point anyways. This one is well made (from Indonesia and not China). Tuners are geared, no sharp edges on the frets and fretboard. It really has a nice polished finish. The built in tuner is a plus because the ukulele goes out of tune everyday since this is new and the strings are not yet stretched well.
