Q: Can the wooden play gym be stood up without being attached to the mat, or will it only stand up when attached to the play mat? I want to be able to use it with the play mat or with a bouncer underneath.

A: Thanks for reaching out! While we do not recommend using anything other than the included Activity Mat under The Play Gym, the Activity Mat is not required in order for the wooden legs to stand up.

Good, but expensive
Baby loves this play mat! Right now we primarily use the bar with hanging toys and the cards. I think the price is a little steep for what you’re getting. Threw the whole thing in the washer machine and air dried. Washed well!

We liked this play gym
We liked this play gym quite a lot, despite the price tag. The floor pad is soft and comfortable, the little tent that comes with it is super cute and my baby loved the looking at the spotted pattern. The tummy time activities are good but the sensory strands were probably the most popular with our kid and unfortunately a separate purchase. Easy to take apart for cleaning, which is important given all the flaps and surfaces that trapped dust and pet hair. A solid product all in all, but I'd recommend buying second hand considering this gym lasted us only about 5-6 months before our baby lost interest and moved on.

So far so good. Easy assembly. Mat is soft and with enough cushion that my 10 day old doesn’t seem to mind. Lots of different activities and as usual I love the book explaining the different stages of development and how to use the device. My only suggestion would be to make it more easily collapsible to put it to the side when not in use.

Beyond Unhappy
If I could do a zero star I would. You see it all over that this play system is so great but as a fifth time mom I am saying don’t waste your money on this gimmick. The less expensive ones are far more entertaining for your baby. I wanted so badly to live this product but I am beyond disappointed! My favorite playmat by far throughout all my children was the skip hop model, I thought I was done having children so I passed it on to someone who needed it, well the universe had another plan! You can’t fold this thing up for better storage and my baby isn’t entertained by it for even half a second I wish I could go back in time and save me money, since I can’t I will pay it forward!

My daughter uses one of these for her son, so I knew that not only was it creative, but can be changed as babies develop, with appropriate activities. So I decided to gift one for my niece when she became pregnant, for her baby shower. She's very excited to have it. Well built, amazingly creative, and fun to watch babies learn using the different options.

Excellent! Disassembling the play gym after my friend’s baby shower last month was tuff, because its a sturdy yet simple set up. This was the 2nd lovevery play gym that i have purchased. My 13 month granddaughter, son & wife/mom have enjoyed their play gym over the past year. Pleasant colors, heirloom quality structure, durable toys, engaging but not over stimulating. The book is so wonderful to communicate what baby is able to take in. It helps us get to know our littles much faster. For new Dad’s the guide is very helpful. Giving them understanding of how to interact with their new child, when they can experience what. Lovevery is my favorite toy company to recommend Enjoy your love gifts from God.
