Good and Gather Wide Egg Noodles are a misnomer
These are not wide egg noodles. They are a spiral rotini and have the thickness and texture similar to a pasta noodle. I did not enjoy them. I wouldn’t consider these for soups, stroganoff or casserole.

The egg noodles were delivered 11/21 and item was busted open with noodles dispelled. I tried to make a return/receive store credit for it however the window to do apparently closed before the delivery date - 11/17. Very displeased.

Not egg noodle!
Not an egg noodle!noodles! Didn't notice until I dumped them in the water....these are spiral/roting pasta. Not flat egg noodles. They're either labeled wrong or company doesn't know what an egg noodle is. Taste is fine. Just not what I wanted. I see many similar reviews. Bad batch? Fix it!

Buy Extra Wide to avoid the rotini problem
I'm a long time fan of these noodles. They taste good and are cheaper than grocery store brands. However, I too have experienced the problem where the noodles suddenly look like spiral pasta rather than the traditional softly curled shape. I haven't yet tasted the spiral ones to see whether it is off putting in a dish or not. But I am here to say it IS safe to purchase the Extra Wide noodles -- in my experience the rotini issue only occurs in the Wide noodles. Happy noodling!
