Description

Great coffee brings friends and neighbors together like nothing else. That's why we created this medium roast to pay tribute to the time-honored pastime of lingering in the café, casually sipping an expertly brewed cup over conversation. The three Latin American coffees in this carefully crafted blend were selected for their balance and brightness, and the roast fine-tuned to brew the perfect medium-bodied cup. We decided to name it after our third café, opened by Alfred Peet in 1980 on Domingo Avenue in Berkeley, in the shadow of the Claremont Hotel. For more than three decades, Peet's regulars have gathered here to enjoy hand-crafted drinks and the camaraderie they inspire. And that's something worth commemorating. Our pods are compatible with all single serve brewers.

good for lattes

My go to for pods. I drink mine as a latte: 6 ounce water with a splash of 2% milk, or several table spoons of powdered creamer. Add 1 tsp sugar for some sweetness. Good blend of strength without the bitterness

Tastes Exactly Like Big Bang

If you like your coffee tasting like the last cup from a pot that sat on the platen for over an hour this one is for you . No hints of anything other than burnt coffee.

Excellent well balanced blend.

Cafe Domingo provides a full-flavored rich-but-smooth coffee taste without the intensity of a robust dark roast. It was lucky find given many options are either too weak or too strong/bitter. It makes you want a second cup every time.

A bit bold

My go-to cup is a medium Columbian coffee. I like a coffee that you can smell brewing across the room, and long before your lips touch the cup. I didn't get very much aroma from the Cafe Dominican. The coffee was good with no bitterness, perhaps a bit bolder than I anticipated. A good coffee but probably not my favorite.

Too strong.

I drink all my coffee black. This flavor is much too strong. I tried to lower the intensity or add more water but it did not work.

Really good

I've tried Peet's Major Dickinson's before and didn't find anything remarkable about it, however, Cafe Domingo is very good! I had offered some to a picky coffee drinker and she thought it was outstanding - even liked it better than her current favorite coffee. No bitterness and a smooth flavor. Would highly recommend.

For those who like medium roast

I tried some Peet's Coffee when visiting in California. It was more bold. I like a medium roast coffee. My favorite is Dunkin' so decided to give this Cafe Domingo from Peet's a try. It was very good. Now I have at least one cup of Peet's Cafe Domingo every morning! Cheers!
