  • A: Hi Mayank. Please change all of the batteries with new Brand named batteries like Duracell/Energizer. Please note that not all battery voltage is the same and the battery type makes a difference in the functionality of the toy. Steps to get everything going: -remove all balls removed from the toy -change batteries -switch to the ball popping mode -press the starfish button -once the wheel is turning place the balls at the top of the swirly slide and watch them pop. Q: How long does the toy take to charge using the USB port? We removed the batteries because the toy is already not working properly and hoping this will fix the issue. It has been 4 hours and does not appear to be charging.

    Stands the test of time

    I am surprised at all the negative reviews for this toy. Maybe the manufacturer changed but I’ve owned this toy for 5 years now and it still works like a charm. I replace the batteries once every few months when it hasn’t been in storage. It’s always a hit with kids from 1-6 and even though countless objects have been shoved into the spot for holes and jammed the mechanism, I have always been able to fix it usually due to the smart choice of the engineers to include a “backwards” function. Only lately have I been looking into buying a second one because we’ve lost most of the balls that came with the original.

    DONT BUY THIS TOY

    I WOULD GIVE THIS A NO STAR. MY GRANDSON LOVES THIS TOY. I BOUGHT IT 3X TIMES AND IT WORKED FOR A FEW WEEKS AND NEVER WAS ABLE TO TAKE RHE BALLS FROM THE INSIDE. I WISH I COULD GET REFUNDED. TARGET STOP SELLING THESE. 😡

There is a switch on the bottom on the toy that needs to be in the "ON" position in order for the balls to be pushed from the whale to the tower. The spout can be removed in order to retrieve the balls, if you have having issues getting the balls out of the whale.     terrible quality

    Whoever engineered this toy should be fired immediately. The AA batteries it requires will only last a few days: you have to keep putting new batteries. The toy also has the option for USB-C, but it is made so poorly that it will not stay connected. For the few days that it worked, my 1yr old enjoyed it. He would go get the balls to put back in: kept him entertained a bit. I thought we may have gotten a faulty one so we exchanged it after a couple months. The second one is just as bad. When it's not the batteries that are the problem it's the wheel that doesn't spin.

    Originally purchased for Christmas gift, one week of play and it stopped launching the balls… so I went to exchange it, good news the new one worked bad news it only worked for 3 weeks this time 😅 balls won’t launch since then it’s so frustrating because the concept is cute, my baby loved it while it lasted but durability wise it sucks!

    Great, for the time it did work

    This item was great while it did work but like the rest of the reviews the motor on the inside stopped working after a couple of months, it was quite disappointing since my kids loved it so much but I can’t reason with buying another one for it to break again. Hopefully they find a way to fix this as it was a great concept!

    Not great

    My kids absolutely loved this toy but it’s already broken after two months of them playing with it. I was worried when we first got it because I did notice that it needed to be charged frequently but fine that’s not that big of a deal but now the mechanism inside that rotates the ball and sends it out doesn’t work

    Perfect whale toy for little ones and toddlers!

    My son loves this whale toy! We’ve had it almost two years now and it still works like a champ. He’s even stuck things in there that don’t belong and I was able to get them out and it still works the same. Occasionally the balls fly out and not back into the whale because of the aim spout not properly aligned. Just change out the batteries when you get the whale and it will keep your little ones entertained. I do not think it’s made of cheap material and I have two boys who are terribly rough with things but this whale is a little champ. Not sure what the fuss is about with other reviews but this is a great toy. Love the lights and little music to! I suggest buying it and giving it a go because not everyone drinks the same cup of tea or coffee 😎

    Our one year old grandson loves this! Lots of movement and he likes to put the balls in the track. It’s also nice that you can move the tube so the balls shoot out into the room.

    Disappointing toy

    This toy died after an hour! I usually don't leave reviews but, my god, this toy sucks. The balls started out with wayyy too much power and shot out super hard and, after a few minutes, had practically no power and it didn't even have enough power to shoot the balls out of the whale. Good concept, just sucky execution.
