Although BPA is not currently prohibited for use in toys, we are taking proactive measures to ensure that our new products do not contain BPA. All materials used in the manufacture of LeapFrog products are child-friendly and approved by the Toy industry Association and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). All plastic materials that are used in LeapFrog products are tested to ensure that they comply with the strictest Toy Industry Requirements for chemical and mechanical safety. LeapFrog pro-actively implemented "phthalate-free" in all products before any legislation was introduced by the Toy industry or other legislative agencies and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). LeapFrog has already taken the steps to voluntarily remove PVC from our products that had been used in the past. Although PVC with phthalates was used in plastic cases of books and software this has now changed. As of December 1, 2006 all Manufactures were required to meet certain standards regarding PVC/Phthalates for San Francisco City and County in California.   • A: They are thick plastic pages, and they are pretty durable. My 1.5 year old uses it all the time and we have had it for a few months now. Still looks and works just great.

    I was really excited for this book but for the price point I’m not sure why Leap Frog thought it would be a good idea to just use the same sounds for several of the things on the page. For instance Milk and Water have the same sound, even if there’s a different spoken word about it. In addition, the noise for the brown bear sounds like a human is just growling. The noise for the panda is wrong. The sounds following the eggs is just a slurping noise ? Why? The sound for both frog and rabbit is also the same. Why not just use a different sound? I appreciate the book has both Spanish and English though. But, def needs a tune up. Do better Leap Frog!
