A: There is no specific 'try me mode' - the 3 included modes are explore, play, and learn. In order to turn on the book you need to slide the mode switch button which will just turn on the book on the mode you switched to. The book will automatically turn off after ~30 seconds without interaction.

Great toy but turns off constantly
I really like this overall design of this toy, the buttons are entertaining and easy to press for my almost 2 year old, it also has good word selection. However it constantly turns off, looking into the product Q/A it looks like it powers off after 30 seconds of inactivity. This is a horrible design for a toddler toy, I have to constantly turn it back on since my child is unable to. I bought it to keep her entertained in the car, which would be great if it actually stayed on. I’d love an upgraded model that wasn’t constantly turning off.
