Miss the original shade
I really love the original shade formulation - bronzey, shimmery, so easy for a quick go to eye look and looks so nice under the eye for a little definition. But for some reason they drastically changed the shade. It’s light. There’s no shimmer. It’s more milkshake brown than bronze shimmer. I really hope they bring the original color back.

The one star is for the clever packaging which deceives the customer into thinking there is more crayon in the tube. In fact what you see is what you get.. that little stub of crayon you can see!! Very disappointing come on NYX you can do better than that

Misleading ripoff. Hardly any product
The stick has a decent weight and size to it, so you would assume there is more product in the tube.. nope. The small triangle of color is all you get. Completely misleading product for the price. Guess everyone needs to check the oz amount on the tube carefully before buying..I also love how NYX says you need to sharpen it… if you did you would be shaving off 1/3 of the product. And it’s too bad because I actually like this eye color, but I’m not buying from this company again.

The formula actually runs down the entire length of the pencil and is meant to be sharpened using a cosmetic sharpener with a double-barrel design. To make sharpening cleaner without breaking the creamy tip, a helpful tip is to place the pencil in the refrigerator for ten minutes beforehand to firm up the formula. Don’t bother!
I have to agree with everyone here that I regret buying this pencil. I initially thought it was retractable, but unfortunately you have to sharpen it. Yet, it’s too thick and hard to sharpen it well. Total waste. Plus the color rubs off too easily anyway. Just found a better, retractable one with a different brand instead. 😅

I love the color and the soft texture but I am disappointed how you can’t sharpen it and what you see is what you get although there is more of the pencil inside you just can’t access it so it just makes you order more pencils

Deceiving to customers
What a waste of money. I bought two different brands of eyelid pencil. The other brand, still creamy and goes on easy, twists up for more product. The NYX, you literally get a small triangle of a tip and it’s gone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

You have to somehow sharpen these, but they appear like they twist up. They're too large to sharpen, but I managed to get mine done a little bit and then thick bits of plastic ended up in my eye, scratching my contacts and my eyeball all up.

Horrible smeary messy- hate it
Hate this eye liner! I ended up throwing it away because every time I used it, it always ended up smearing and getting all over my eyes because it is too soft in texture that it wouldn’t stay put as a liner and it made me have raccoon eyes and was so messy. Oof- just horrible!!! I don’t recommend this product at all!

Because this pencil is designed to be ultra-creamy and double as a blendable eyeshadow, it does not "self-set." Without setting it, natural skin oils can easily cause it to slide and smear. For the best results with this creamy formula: Prime first: Apply an eyeshadow primer to block natural skin oils. Apply lightly: Use a thin layer and blend it out with your finger. Lock it with powder: This is the key step! Press a matching powder eyeshadow or translucent powder directly on top to instantly lock the cream in place. If you prefer an eyeliner that dries down completely on its own and is 100% smudge-proof without any extra steps, we highly recommend trying our Epic Wear Liner Sticks instead!

Can't sharpen it as they say you can. Outside case is heavy plastic and sharpener can't cut it. Like the texture but use is too limited. Won't buy again.

Because these pencils have an ultra-creamy, moisturizing formula, they can occasionally transfer if you have oily eyelids or if they are applied too heavily. To prevent transferring and keep the pigment looking rich and vibrant all day, we highly recommend prepping your lids with an eyeshadow primer beforehand, or locking the cream in place by gently patting a matching powder eyeshadow or translucent setting powder right on top. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope these tips help you get the long-lasting, vibrant look you deserve!

I thought I'd better leave a review because so many people don't realise that this is a pencil that can be sharpened! Ignore all the one star reviews that say it's a waste because it doesn't twist up, just use a good quality sharpener! Plenty of product and really easy to apply, no mess and powdery bits in your eyes - gives great coverage and hasn't melted in the heat! Love it!

Contact Dermatitis
Warning for sensitive skin + a quick hack! Unfortunately, the parabens and BHA in this formula gave me contact dermatitis on my eyelids. I had to stop using it immediately. However, for anyone who can wear it and is wondering how to get more product out: you can actually use a Q-tip to push more up from the bottom of the tube!
