I have a small pond in my backyard with giant gold fish and I hooked up this Transformer to plus in the lights in the water and outside the water. Its looks very beautiful and works very well.

I love that I can basically “set it and forget it”. My lights now automatically go on and off. It seems very sturdy and well made and so far I have had no issues. I would recommend this product.

We have another transformer for out front deck lighting, and we want more for along the driveway. This transformer can be used under water but we use it above the ground only. It works well the first time we set it up. We bought an extension cord to be able to connect more than one light. 200 watt will allow us to connect a good number of lights for our need without going overloaded. Photo sensor works as supposed to. A great product.

It's durable, functions on a timer and best of all keeps our pond working day and night. The actual unit was easy to install for a intermediate handywoman. I would recommend this product.

My husband is absolutely so happy with it. This is constructed of weather resistant plastic, the transformer is made tough for outdoor use and works with any underwater or above water lighting that requires a transformer. It features a photocell that detects light and instantly activates once it gets dark. This set up very quickly. We had it up and running with in 30 minutes. It looks great, I have rituals running all my lights in my outdoor garden and all the automatic parts work great. I can not speak for longevity but am very happy with this unit so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Alpine PL106T 200 Watt transformer appears to be well constructed with a metal casing and weighing in at almost 12 lbs! I consider the weight to be a good sign that it will last a long time. Replacing a lighter weight unit that ran nightly for over 16 years. The PL106T is much easier to program with only one digital control to set for (on, off, on at dusk til dawn, or on at dusk for “x” hours) thanks to the photo cell and timer. I’m running about 180 watts of the 200 watt capacity. Like to leave some headroom and not max out the unit with demand. Really like the control window design on the side of the unit versus the top in my old unit that was a hassle to see since I had it installed up high. Operating temperature for the unit is -20F to 105F, so it’s good for most climates. So far so good! Looking forward to years of service.
