Q: Is there a sequence to pushing on/off/mode? Can’t get them to stay on for more than a few seconds

  • A: I have to go out each night and flip the solar panel upside down. They'll stay on until they lose power (usually 4 - 5 hours), but i'm still trying to figure out how to make them turn on automatically

Q: If the lights are for outdoor use, but not waterproof then is the solar charger at least waterproof? It is not practical go out and pull it up every time I think it may rain, but it needs sunlight to charge.

    Does not auto turn on

    These are in the sun all day and still have to be manually turned on at night. I have 2 sets and both do this. I have never had this issue with other solar lights and lanterns that are years old and even auto turned on through Michigan winters. Don’t buy these.

    I hardly ever write reviews but felt this was deserved and I should’ve read reviews first! Firstly, I couldn’t figure out how to get them to turn on… realized I need to fully flip over the solar panel part after it gets dark. I don’t mind doing that if it means they work. I can just flip them back over when I’m done. However, even with full sunlight all yesterday and today, one bulb is not working on each of the strands I bought. Not sure why. Might try to return if I can.

    Great patio lights!

    These worked from day 1 without issue. My deck is in full sun, so they get plenty of light during the day. I never took them down for winter, and they continue to come on in the evening even with all the snow!

    they don't automatically turn on as stated.

    i assumed when i bought these that, like all other solar powered porch lights I've ever bought, would turn on automatically at night and recharge during the day. these do seem to charge, but will only turn on if i go hit the button manually, which is pretty annoying. the instructions are also really unclear "press the "on/off" button on the back to turn the lights on OR to charge it" so... i have to turn them on to charge them? i don't understand why you would design these like that at all. it says they should automatically turn on/off and they definitely dont.

    Solar lights string

    The only complaint is I bought another and they don’t turn on at all? But they’re other one I purchased does.. but it looks nice when on just wish the other one would turn on I love that they solar panel and I don’t have to worry about wasting electricity and that they charge in the sun but some maybe have malfunctions the one that turns on doesn’t thank goodness
