A: Yes - if you use a separate dimmer plug like a leviton or similar. I have mine set up with a leviton decora smart plug. Can't remember the exact model off the top, but it's incredibly simple to set up (I did it without asking my boyfriend for help). You use an app to dim the lights and can put them on a timer...whatever. If you use alexa, you can integrate them with that system also.

Not for cozy, inviting spaces
I got these string lights originally over ten years ago for my room. This is my second time replacing them. The first and second time I got them, they were still using glass bulbs with incandescent filaments. It gave my room a really lovely, soft, warm lighting. Those first two times, the bulbs lasted a good several years and I would have rated this product a full 5 stars. Now that they've changed to LED, I'm really disappointed. I figured "warm white" would maybe be fine, but it really is not the same. Having just put them up, I can say that these are WAAY more white than they are warm. My room doesn't have nearly the same cozy vibe I've grown so fond of. I think I may have to return these and take my business elsewhere. In conclusion, these are nice string lights and I'm sure they'd be great in the right space, but they're nothing in comparison to what they once were. If you're looking for warm lighting, you'd best look elsewhere.

TOOA bright- LED intense white
Omg SOOOOOOOO bright..! Not soft- like LED hurt your brain white. I bought these to replace some beautiful Iridescent ones i bought years ago from target for my daughter’s room- they had little paper lanterns and they were gorgeous. They gave out after a couple years- so bought these to drape over her small canopy over the bed- I’ll have to use them elsewhere as they are so bright and intense they might give her a seizure lol

Ten years later....
It has occurred to me that i hung these lights on my porch in June 2016. It’s been almost ten years. I live in Cleveland and they stay up all year long. I hang Christmas lights along with them. In all that time, I’ve had to replace a handful of shattered bulbs, and a few burnt out bulbs. I truly can’t believe these have lasted this long, but I am pleased with this purchase!
