Q: How do you program the custom settings? The attached instructions give me no clue as to, how to do that, or why pressing the button on the usb makes the lights blink white 2-3 times.

DANGEROUS. BATTERY BOX OVERHEATS IMMEDIATELY
I would do zero stars but it isn't an option. The battery box got super hot and battery acid began to leak within 5 minutes of using it. Then I brough it back to the store to see if it was a faulty box. Within 2 minutes of putting the batteries in, the new battery box began to smoke.

Improper Light Colors
Everything about them was great -- except if you want them on any other color than White, Red, Blue, or Green - anytime you move your eyes you can see the red/green lights within the secondary color you've chosen. Made my eyes hurt and made them unusable.

Uni-colored Lights on an exceptionally short string
I totally underestimated the length of lights I needed. This 40-LED strand is WAY too short, especially since the last LED is about 12 inches from the USB plug. That's my bad for just guesstimating the length I needed. But what's not my fault is the product description listed on Target's product info, AND on the product itself, is that the LED lights change in uniform. There is no mode to have "rainbow" lights where each LED is a different color. I'll be returning this to Target.

Beautiful bright fairy lights
I have had great success with these lights and the remote. As long as I point the remote directly at the battery pack, it works every time. All colors and most of the patterns,;; some like strobe are difficult to see,. I enjoy the fade as it is slow and relaxing. Red, blue, green, red and white. They are only 14 ft so I have them up over my bedroom doorway, where the rest of the room, I had already used stationary white bulb string lights (from previous purchase of same brand). But it's enough to be fun. I use the timer as a night light and program them to shut off after I go to sleep. I am going to buy more to use in my bathroom, which is the only room left with no lights. I'm excited. My apartment is always alive and cheerful with the Room Essentials variety of lights!

They work, but...
We bought these for our toddler's room, as they were the only set I could find with a power source besides batteries. We plugged them in with the battery pack at first and they worked for about a day, so long as you were fine with having either red or green for *any* color you selected. The original plan was the return them, but I tried the USB in case and found that they actually work as they should attached to it. The colors aren't perfect - white shows up as a kind of teal, and orange is more red, but given that they're for a 3yo, I'm not too worried about it.

These lights do not have a multicolor function
These lights work great and are pretty. I love the option to use a battery pack or plug them in, but they aren't multi color. They can display multiple colors but only one at a time. They are either all blue, all red, all teal, or whatever color you select... But they cannot display multiple colors on the string at one time.

Bought these for my teen daughter’s room and they were great for like 2 days…then a bunch of the colors stopped working, you press one color on the remote and get another light color on the lights…won’t be buying again and wish I would have done more research before buying

FAIRY LIGHTS FAILURE
I bought these in January of 2024, and used them to decorate my dining room. I liked that you could change the color to match whatever holiday it was without putting up and taking down strands of lights. They were used twice a week for a few hours each time at the most. I went to use them this last week and I am starting to have the same problem as some of the other reviewers, only with mine the blue color is no longer working, which means no purple either. Very disappointed they did not last even a year.

Stopped working
I wouldn’t waste your money. I had the same problem many others did. In less than a week, the only color that showed up was red, regardless of what color I picked on the remote. I tried changing the batteries, turning it off and on, and nothing! I would pay a few extra bucks to get lights from elsewhere because then at least you’ll have a chance of them working longer than 5 days!!
