Q: Are the strips separate from the hooks or do you need to use the strips to hang the hooks? Do the hooks have sticky stuff on the back of them, or is that what the strips are for?

A: The strips are separate from the hooks; it is possible, but difficult to see in the picture. I have some similar, the instructions should be the same, or close to this: Clean the surface to attach the hook to. Each strip is sticky on both sides, but with a paper backing so the sticky isn't exposed until you are ready to use it. It is marked which side of the strip is to stick to the surface, and which is for the hook. Remove the backing for the side to the surface, stick the strip on the surface, then press for about 30 seconds. Then remove the other backing and place the hook on it, press for 30 seconds. Then let sit for a while (the ones I have is 1 hour) before putting anything on the hook. The strip is longer than the hook, so to remove, you pull on the strip. I haven't removed any yet, so I can't comment on how easily it comes off or how "paint-safe" it is. This will destroy the strip, but not the hook; to put the hook somewhere else, you will need a new strip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3m sent me a pack of these hooks to try out for free. I love that they are clear to make them less noticeable. I have used these in the past for hanging string lights. I stuck them on the tops of the wall along the hallway and strung the lights in a zigzag and then hung ornaments. It was so pretty! For a quick pic I used this clear one in the center to help hold up this birthday banner. I had big command hooks on the ends. This holds up well and removes nice and easy without peeling any paint!

These are so handy for hanging small items like necklaces. Refill strips are available so you can reuse item if you decide to remove or move hook to another location.

I have used them to string up some fairy lights indoors and so far they are holding up well. I like that they are clear so you can't see them hanging up. I have used 1 clip for every two feet of lights as directed.

At this time I had a small decorative sign I wanted to hand in my powder room and this was the perfect application for this product. I plan to used them at the holidays to put small batter-operated light across my mantle. This will be a more secure way to decorate with these lights than simply draping them around my other decorations. I'm sure I will find any number of uses for these clips

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These 3M Decorating Clips are definitely one of my favorite items they make. I have been using these clips for yearssss!!!! They work amazingly! I love using them for my christmas lights. It helps sooo much. I can keep all the strings of lights straight and pretty while also using the clips to keep all the extension cords hidden and flush with my walls. They stay up all season long and never take my paint of the walls when i remove them after the new year. I'm such a fan!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These little clips work great for hanging holiday decorations in places where you want the hanger to be invisible.They also fit into tight places.They stay put and don't fall down unexpectedly.I have used them previously and have had no problems.I have kept them up in between seasons and they still stay stuck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are really nice decorating clips. Tiny but hold strong, no worries hanging lights or other lightweight decorations from them. I like the clear plastic instead of the usual white plastic, which tends to stand out too much.

I use the clear mini hooks for small light weight items where I don’t want the hook to be noticeable. One way I use them is to hang keys near my back door on a homemade message board. The keys are handy and the clear hooks makes for a neat and clean profile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Originally, I wanted to use these hooks to hang dusters on the door under my kitchen sink, but the handle holes were too thick. These hooks work well for pot holders, though and will be useful to hang Christmas decorations such as garlands without detracting because they are clear. Placing the hooks was simple, and I don't have to worry about any damage to my cabinet doors when I remove them.
