A: The strips are separate from the hooks; it is possible, but difficult to see in the picture. I have some similar, the instructions should be the same, or close to this: Clean the surface to attach the hook to. Each strip is sticky on both sides, but with a paper backing so the sticky isn't exposed until you are ready to use it. It is marked which side of the strip is to stick to the surface, and which is for the hook. Remove the backing for the side to the surface, stick the strip on the surface, then press for about 30 seconds. Then remove the other backing and place the hook on it, press for 30 seconds. Then let sit for a while (the ones I have is 1 hour) before putting anything on the hook. The strip is longer than the hook, so to remove, you pull on the strip. I haven't removed any yet, so I can't comment on how easily it comes off or how "paint-safe" it is. This will destroy the strip, but not the hook; to put the hook somewhere else, you will need a new strip.
