Won't stay up. I got 4. Two on my first purchase hung them up and they stayed up for an hour not even...so I got new ones thinking it was the sticky pads nope these did the same things...I don't put up the 20lbs over and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong or if it's just the products fault.

While the design is sleek and the idea of having no wall damage is ideal, it simply will not stay on the wall. Even after following the instructions the shelf kept falling. The adhesive on the strip is weak.

More failures in the past 6 months, after over a decade of success.
TLDR: if you buy this DO NOT use the included adhesive strips I've used command strips for over a decade and LOVED THEM for their convenience, lack of damage, versatility, etc. I loved that they recently started branching out with new products. but honestly, they're so bad. I have had a lot of people complain to me about these strips but I mis-assumed that they didn't follow the directions since I have used them for so long with barely any issues. nope. it's not us---it's them. Command strips are the problem. They should be embarrassed. IF you buy this shelf, buy the normal command strips separately! They're white strips with one side that says "wall side" in black text and the other side says "command" in red text. DO NOT use the ones that have blue text that are included with this picture shelf or the white one or any other command product. In the best case, you will find your shelf on the floor with nothing broken. In the worst case, each strip will rip off our paint, drywall and/or plaster leaving an entire wall to be re-worked all because we didn't want to use screws. It is not worth it. While I will now only use the original strips, some of the OG strips now also break off while I'm "slowly" removing them, as instructed, and then the other ½ is still stuck under the plastic hook. But rarely do the OGs fall off and bring down plaster with them like the new stuff does. Again, after 10+ years of success, here's what has failed us in the past 6 months: -5 command picture rails -2 packs of black picture hanging velcro strips (white were ok, but i still wont buy them anymore) -Countless hooks with the blue text strips -command towel rack I ended up using the original strips we had on all the above products and for the most part they are ok now. But from now, if we use any command product, we will only use the old school white strips with the red/white labels--everything else causes 100s of $ worth of damage and/or I have to add more repairs to my unending to-do list because I didn't want to put a nail hole in my 130 year old walls. 20 nails holes would've been better than these strips. Definitely Avoid: --black picture hanging strips --any Command strips with blue text (unless only hanging on smooth tile and nothing will get damaged when it inevitably falls) --the command shelves/picture rails, unless buy the original red box command strips separately--the ones included (with the blue text) WILL FAIL --command baskets: unless buy the original command strips separately--the ones (Blue text) included WILL FAIL I tried to upload a pic of all our wall damage, plus the strips that are still working vs. the ones that have ALL failed, but for some reason uploads arent working atm :(

Son bought these for his dorm. Only one shelf stayed up. Second shelf continued to fall down, breaking items on shelf. Son bought new velcro strips to see if this would remedy the problem, it did not. Son shelled out an additional $15 on new and heavy weight strips only to have the shelf continue to fall. NOT WORTH IYT!!!

Awful, Falls down
I purchased this product, followed the instructions, and set the shelf up. Not once, but twice, did it fall off the wall after following the instructions to a T. I don't know if the command strips were bad or if the whole product is just flawed, but I'm incredibly disappointed and my collectables are damaged because of it.
