Q: Am I able to use these to hang frames that are less than 5 lbs, but the dimensions are 16 x 20?

It will be up to you decide if you wish to use or if you wish to find another solution that will hold a larger frame. A: Hello - Thank you for asking. We do not recommend using more than one hook per item. If you do, it is important to note that when more than one hook is used to hold an item, you will need to make sure that the weight is evenly distributed between the hooks. The total weight capacity remains the same as one hook. It would not double the weight support. For a frame that weights 10 lbs and is less than 24"x36" in size, we would recommend using our Large Picture Hanging Strips, 17206 instead. do not work on textured walls
Im sure these are probably great if you use them on the write kind of surface. We have painted textured walls, which I feel is standard! They felt like they would stick, but they didnt work. Held the frame for lik 20 mins or so and fell and broke the frame. Bummer.

Smooth and damage free walls
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a renter and glad these are available. I was able to put up my pictures without any problems. I prefer these to putting holes in the wall. I find it to be cleaner and faster since I don't have to have any extra tools. Thank you 3M for letting me try these in exchange for my honest opinion.

Waste of Money
These specific command hooks didn't even stick to the wall for the more than 10 minutes. I made sure to clean the wall and let it dry before applying. The adhesive on the larger strips is very poor and wasn't very sticky.

Hands down better than drilling or nails!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our guest bathroom has wood paneling for walls and I was not interested in trying to nail or drill into them in order to hang my cast iron shell hook. This truly is a "universal" picture hanger, in that if it has a hole for a nailhead the hanger will work! You can orient the metal mounting piece so that the nailhead is at the top or the bottom of the bracket to make it work for you. The design of my shell was such that I needed the bulk of the bracket below the nailhead so it wouldn't show. Now, instead of the hand towel taking up precious real estate on the vanity, it hangs neatly on the wall next to it. Just like all the other Command items, installation was a breeze. No need for power tools or leaving permanent changes to our walls.

Easy to apply!

Mounts flush with the wall

It hangs almost flush to the wall, and it won't damage the paint when removed. It's perfect for renters or anyone who doesn't want to put holes in the walls but still be able to decorate the walls.

Easy to use without damage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple to use, holds a decent size frame. I used this hanger to hold a framed image in my classroom. It attached to a painted wall with some sloght texture on it so I wasn't sure it would stay but it's held just fine and won't damage the wall.

Convenient picture hanger

It also came with stabilizer strips to use on the back sides of the frame, but for this picture I did not need to use them.

Simple to install and hope it holds over time
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The highlight of the universal picture hanger is that no nails are required! The directions are easy to follow and using them was simple. I'm not sure I will hang anything too heavy with it even though it is supposed to hold 5lbs as I'm not sure the adhesive will stay in place over time.

Held up the picture well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used 3 of these to hang a long wooden frame (think 3ftx1ft) on my daughters dorm room cinderblock wall. The frame is very horizontal and we used the 2 on the sides to keep it from tilting in either direction.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use command strips for the majority of items in my house but until now didn't have a solution for the heavier pictures. I really like that command introduced this item for heavier pictures. The hook works great for items with the tiny metal loop on the top. I also really enjoy that this comes with extra command strips to secure the bottom. I haven't had to remove them yet but I assume they will do just as well as the other products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this is a nice concept but the Velcro command strips are my least favorite. They hold up the least of any of the strips and for the length of the hook it’s a pretty small strip. It’s nice but nothing substantial would hang on it.
