TLDR: very cute style, flattering even with a belly, if you're tall like me you probably need to size up, otherwise true to size, some colors show lining/would require some tailoring. I bought this in magenta, purple, teal, and black from this site, Target, and Avenue. The teal is the ONLY color that the top ruffle layers were long enough to cover the lining before the bottom ruffle layers. Meaning that the magenta, black, and purple--in multiple sizes--all had this issue showing the lining on the sides even when the garment was hanging or laid flat because the measurements were off. The teal was the only color that didn't have this issue from what I tried. Of course the black was less noticeable but the purple was the worst offender length wise being screwed up and the magenta was very noticeable because of how dark the lining is. If you are not very tall (I am about 5'11"), then you don't need to size up for length like I did and I'd say this is true to size. Even sizing up the fit was still good (not too loose in other areas).
