Why is it red?
The foam is reddish in my last bottle and developed orange! What happened? Used to love it! Somebody messed up and they're not fixing it! They refunded one bottle when I sent pictures but now this one is red too! Stand behind your name St. Tropez! Recall the bad ones!

Don't waste your time
The color doesn't stay and isn't anything to brag about. I wouldn't waste my time or my money!

VERY STICKY
The color it develops into is amazing BUT: it's very sticky and takes forever to dry down AND doesn't last. I get 2 good days out of the color and then it vanishes. I stand under my ceiling fan for about 15 min and a decent amount of the stinkiness goes down but unfortunately it still feels a little sticky until I wash it off.

Really natural looking on olive skin
This is my first time self tanning. My skin is light/medium olive. This went on really smoothly, and blended incredibly well. I was shocked about it because all the reviews i read online said the guide is streaky. It was a bit sticky while drying, but after it dried it felt fine. I left it on the full 8 hours, though i wiped off my face after 3. I was left with such a beautiful natural looking tan.

Formula change?
I have been using this tanner for years. I bought a new bottle in February and the color is completely different. It is now red and makes me look very orange. This used to be my favorite tanner :(

Not for me
I have used their other tanners and thought I would go all in with this darker option. First it went on weird like it didn't allow you to spread it around it went on in streaks so I just had to paint it in strokes. After having it on for about an hour I panicked because it looked like if you went and got a spray tan and waiting to wash it off so I showered. The next day I developed a rash and was itching randomly all over. Assumed it was this as I had not used anything else. I will still use their other colors just not this one as the others worked great. Ulta was great during the return.

What happened???
I've used Supreme Violet for three years and it has always applied greenish-brown and developed into a deep olive tone. I opened a brand-new bottle today, and it went on reddish/orange immediately …completely different from the usual cool brown guide color. It looked like red clay. Something has changed. Either this batch is off or the formula has been altered. This is not the same product I've been buying.

Still green
Despite the fact that they call this violet, it still has a very green undertone. It is definitely sticky, not a tan that you wear in public before rinsing.

If I could give it negative I would
It made me look like I went digging in a coal mine for 12hrs. Absolutely waste of money. Followed directions exactly, even stained bath tub. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Favorite tan but veryyyyy dark!!
This is by far my FAVORITE tan I have used. I feel like I have tried every brand and I've been tanning for at least 10 years from pageants to prom to just wanting to feel more glowy in the winter. This tan is what I always reach for, but be warned it is dark and you will look whacky until you rinse it off. You will definitely need to trust the process, and I dont know that I would call it beginner friendly. Ive found that one even light coat gives the most natural look, which is great because i feel that i usually need to layer other tans to get the color i want!

Went straight to the garbage
As someone who has been self tanning regularly for decades, this is by far the worst formula I have ever tried. And I've tried just about every self tan brand on the market. The purple tone is great in theory for the most natural looking tan, but the work you have to put into putting this tan on is absolutely not worth it. The tan is EXTREMELY sticky, so much so that when you're putting it on it is impossible to blend well because it sticks to its self. So trying to apply/blend in took 3x the amount of time as another tanning mousse. Not too mention the color pay off for me wasn't worth the work it took to put on. Buy this if you want a great upper body workout trying to blend this sucker in!

LOVELY TRUE DEEP OLIVE BROWN TONE
THE COLOR DEPTH IS HOW MUCH YOU LAYER ON AND THIS IS PIGMENTED! I LOVE HOW TAN I GOT!!! WOULD RECOMMEND EXFOLIATING AND WASHING SELF WELL BEFORE USE. KINDA CAN USE ON TOP OF OTHER SELF TANNERS.

Still pretty green.
I switched from St. Tropez a while back to Loving tan for the violet base. I was super excited to see St. tropez offer a violet base tanner. I really believe they nail it with application in the way their tans go on. This was still very green as far as a base goes doesn't quite hit the mark.

Trust the process!!
This tan is going to go on weird. You will be dark but when you wash it off, it looks amazing. I use a brush to put this on. Dont try to even it out either. Just put it on and wait

Black purple not tan olive
This went on my skin a black This formula has a deep purple color that looked so bad while applying, that I had to wash it off immediately. No use by date on bottle, so who knows how long it was on the shelf at the store. Never again! Too late to return by the time I used it so I threw it away.

We do tan
this is the perfect tanner for the darker skinned girls who want to add a glow and even out their skin tone. It doesn't leave the orange tint !

Hard N.O.
One of the worst self-tanners I've used. Dries too fast, applies patchy, never fully sets, stains clothes/sheets, and fades unevenly after 2–3 days. Color is natural but not dark. Regret buying—wish I could return it. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Best fake tan I've ever had
I wish I was born with beautiful olive skin or tan skin, but it's just not the case-I am pale as can be. I've used St Tropez Tanning products for years, the mousse products applied with the Tanning mitt, so I guess I have worked out the kinks on how to apply it evenly. I love this new tanning product, it leaves a natural looking tan, which is something I have not been able to find since the Australian Vita Liberata. I highly recommend this product.
