Q: Is this self tanner?

A: No it is not self tanner, it’s a tanning oil. It won’t add any color, it just helps you tan when you lay out in the sun.

Q: Since no one has asked. And their website doesn’t mention it. When does this expire? I live in Florida and I love tanning. But I want to know does this have an expiration date? Bottle doesn’t say.

A: Hawaiian Tropic Sun Protection products with SPF remain effective for an average of 3 years from the date of manufacture. Sunless Tanning products are effective for 2 years from the date of manufacture. The product should have an expiration date on the back on bottom of the container.

I love it. I find it a little thick on its own but i mix in a spray bottle with water for easy (less messy) application. I find it does help darken the tan quicker.

It gave me a nice even tan in just one sitting, after a couple days I saw a huge difference. It also makes my skin super soft even after I wash it off. The smell is nice as well. Just make sure you wear it with sunscreen because it has no spf.

this is a holy grail of mine! love how it’s an oil & not a lotion, it works great on my sensitive skin! helps me tan even more than i already do naturally & makes my skin look glowy! i highly recommend this. my friends have tried this & gave them a slight color they rarely get!

I enjoyed the scent and the thick consistency og the product. I used this for three days while in Mexico. Unfortunately I saw very little results with tanning. To top it off on the third day of use I devolved a rash.

I recently started back tanning after being away for 20 years and the new modern tanning booths are amazing. I use Hawaiian Tropics Dark Tanning oil mixed with European Gold Dark Star 7000X Bronzer and after 1 month I was darker than anyone working at the Salon and most of the customers who have been tanning for months. I have olive toned skin and tanned everyday, after 2 weeks you could see a huge difference then after 4 weeks I was darker than most. I was a "Body Drench" dude for decades but they don't make the "Intensifer" lotion anymore so I started experiementing with multiple brands and the Dark Tanning Oil is a must have if you tan daily because it hydrates your skin, the bronzer helps if you have a pale skin tone and want the fastest darkest tan fast and I tried several big brands but this combo is the best. I used several Intensifer lotions and they all made my skin feel dry (and they also smell bad) prior to tanning so you can use the Dark Tanning Oil over top and it helps. If you only use a bronzing lotion try mixing it up and go bronzer one day oil the next, your skin will thank you! BTW, Make sure you use protection for your lips! I use Lip Medex and it never lets me down.

I bought this this week and have used it once so far. It smells amazing and works well. I only with it had a pump like the other tanning oils with spf so the bottle doesn’t get all greasy and messy. It is also hard to get in places without spilling.
Nice coconut smell.

Always my go-to suntan oil that I use every summer. Not sure about burning since I have dark skin. But it gives me a right color of tan that I’m looking for. Plus it has a nice smell of tropical.

I have used Hawaiian since a kid,you have changed it, Why? The new doesn’t last as long as old and I don’t think it darks your skin as deep also! I found a new use for the old type many years ago to use as a insect repellent, works great on every thing but horse flys.
