Lands' End Men's Expedition Winter Bib Snow Pants

I initially bought the XXL size, not listening to the other reviews about it being oversized. So I had to return that one for the L. That one is a little tight around the belly; maybe a XL would have fit better. But I wore it checking bluebird boxes on a very cold muddy day this week. It protected me from the elements well and was comfortable despite the slight tightness in the waist. The pants demonstrated their durability when I tripped on a stump and fell head first into the cold mud. I was dry and was uninjured. Wiped off what I could then threw the pants in the wash. Look good as new when they came out.

I purchased this with the intention of using it for skiing and it works great for this. I am 6'9" tall, so I ordered the long size. While it is not technically long enough for me, it works fine as I am wearing ski boots anyway. They are waterproof and warm. The only real knock I have on these is that I wish the straps for the suspenders were detachable, so I wouldn't have to enter the bibs between the straps which are kind of tight. I would rather enter them, then connect the straps after the fact.

I was puzzled by the elastic suspenders, but these slip on easily when you adjust them properly. Very comfortable and kept me warm for hours.

I got this, and I love it so much. It is the best ever.

I live in Boise Idaho are winters can get cold. These are by far the warmest pants I've ever owned. I'm an outdoor enthuses. The Long size is long my inseam is 36 these are perfect even if I'm seated. I would recommend getting "Gold standard" Columbia long John's your good to -20.

Purchased these bibs for use at a photography event in Yellowstone NP in January. Paired with expedition weight base layers, they kept me warm and dry in knee deep snow and -20F temps. I appreciated the tall size for my long legs and the built-in gaiters that went over the tops of my boots. Three recommendations for your next version: 1) Hip pockets should be zippered. Got occasional snow in them. 2) Put a larger/longer patch of velcro on the center chest pocket to insure the pocket flap stays closed. 3) Add a loop to the inside back so they can be hung up like a jacket. The shoulder straps are too stretchy

Tall Large is like a XXL

I am 5'9" and 215 lbs. They were WAY too long. Otherwise they are perfect.

I’m 6’7” 220lbs. and quite athletically built. I do not have a large stomach. After reading reviews, I purchased Large Tall and the size is just about right for me. The legs and body area of the bib overalls is large enough for a bulky sweater or t shirt with light weight fleece layer which is about what I would want for skiing or snowshoeing in upstate NY. Finding snow pants with long enough inseam for my long legs is hard and even though the inseam measures about 34” with my tape, when I loosen the shoulder straps all the way the pants are long enough to hit the floor. My inseam is 36” for reference. My one complaint is that my torso is longer than the average tall guy so the strap la don’t quite loosen enough for my preference but I’m sure they will break in nicely after use. If you’re about my size don’t hesitate with a Tall Large. There’s definitely some extra room for bigger waisted guys or layer but if you’re waist is a lot more than a 36 you might need to size up. Mine are label Tall Large 36/38 and I take that to be waist size which seems about accurate. My waist is between 34 and 36 and they will be fine. Purchased in November 2023. Not sure what’s up with the bad reviews but these will do well in cold snowy upstate NY.

The quality itself seems good, the fit is just very off, as other comments have mentioned. I'm a tall woman who can't find any talls to order in women's sizing, so I bought a medium of these. But M on the website is currently listed as 32-34, and the tag on my bibs say M 38-40.

In other words, I couldn't make them fit. I am 5'9" 190lbs. Currently 39" waist and 29" length (yeah... nothing really fits). Proportionally unremarkable. Heeding advice in other reviews, I bought L rather than XL. A little tight at the rib cage with thick sweatshirt, but not bad. HOWEVER, the bibbers were way too long. No matter what I did, the back of the pants legs were under the heel of my snowboots. I *might* have been able to make the length work if I pulled the strap buckles ALL the way to the back. However, you CANNOT UNHOOK THE STRAPS. When I pulled the buckles to the top of my shoulders I was almost unable to take the bibbers off (straps had to stretch over my shoulders and arms). Also, there was no way to cinch the pants legs around the boots... that could also have solved the excess length problem as well. Check competitors' designs... to varying degrees they have addressed these problems. I am disappointed I could not make these work. The seemed very warm with quality material. Alas, will be returning.

I just received my order. Bibs seem true to size. It appears that the confusion online in comments can be clarified in that the size is based on Chest size range not waist size.

I ordered these 2 weeks ago - on the website, the size Large states L(36-38) but the ACTUAL bibs state L(42-44). That is a HUGE difference in website description and actual product. Customer service could not tell me what size to order for the (36-38) size bibs so they were returned. I love Lands Ends bibs but these are grossly mis-sized.

I really like the quality of Land's end water proof bib's and coats. These are rugged and well made. The fit is slightly large. I would buy again. I purchased for my son and had to return, they were to big. My husband is an XXL and fit in these.

November, 2022. Just received these. I based my purchase on the reviews that said these run really big. I did not find that to be the case. I ordered a size smaller than I normally would, and they were too small. Sending them back to order according to the size chart listed. Size 32-34 is really a 32-34 fit. Quality seems to be good, although we obviously haven’t tried them out yet.

These are great snow bibs. They are warm and comfortable. They run very large. We had ordered a Medium Tall. They were huge! My son is 6'3 and very thin and a Small was plenty big and plenty tall enough for his 36 inch inseam. His one complaint was that there was no front zipper that made going to the bathroom very inconvenient. :)

I always wear a LT. these are Huge. Would guess their L to s really a XXl!

I am 5'10 220 lbs .. this fit like oversized fishing waders. Designed for a person 300 pounds and 6'4. And legs the size of tree stumps. I ski and these make snowboard pants look like skinny jeans!

Excellent quality. Too bad they don’t fit. They run BIG.

Size large was way too big for my husband who is always size L, although he is physically fit. Great quality otherwise. Would fit a bit of a “belly” if needed.
