Description

Put together an easy and delicious dinner for yourself or the whole family with the 19-Ounce Frozen Cheese Tortellini Pasta from Market Pantry™. Filled with ricotta and Romano cheeses, this frozen tortellini pasta is microwavable and can be prepared in 6 minutes. Just add your favorite sauce once the pasta is fully cooked for a quick and delicious meal.

Directions

Pasta needs to be fully cooked. Keep frozen until ready to prepare.

Stovetop

1. Bring 4 quarts water in a large pot to a rolling boil. Salt water, if desired.
2. Add tortellini; gently stir. Return to a boil, stirring occasionally. Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until pasta is cooked through.
3. Remove from heat; drain well.
Tip: For best results, remove tortellini from pot with slotted spoon and drain in colander.

Microwave
Directions were developed for 1100 watt and higher microwave ovens. Heating in microwave ovens below 1100 watts may require additional time.

1. Combine 1 cup frozen tortellini and 3/4 cup pasta sauce in microwave-safe bowl. Cover.
2. Microwave on HIGH 3 minutes. Stir and cook and additional minute or until pasta is hot throughout. Caution: Dish will be hot.

For food safety, cook to an internal temperature of 165°F as measured with a food thermometer. Appliance temperatures may vary; adjust cooking times accordingly. Refrigerate or discard leftovers immediately.

    Salty, yet bland

    My daughter loves tortellini so I decided to try this one based on price alone. Mixed with sauce it’s fine, I guess, but very bland. However, when you eat it alone it is bland yet also incredibly salty. It’s a pass for our family, I’d sick to the non-frozen option by Good and Gather.

    Awful

    My kid loved these and now they’re absolute trash, my garbage disposal husband wouldn’t even eat them. Returned, they’re so salty and a weird texture. He said he’s never had something so bad. I had one and had to spit it out.

    Bring back the original

    I’m so sad. This is part of a staple meal in my house and I can no longer eat it because the new recipe is so BAD. The previous recipe was PERFECT and now it’s difficult to even swallow. PLEASE bring back the previous recipe!

    Just okay.

    Never tried the old version so unbiased review- They’re just okay. I cooked the pasta in chicken broth for a soup and they still managed to be pretty bland. I’d buy them if they were the only option, but given that they aren’t I won’t purchase again.

    Disappointing changes

    Not a fan of the new recipe. This was a staple easy meal for my kids and now he refuses to eat the new tortellini. Such a disappointment, please bring back the old recipe.

    They ruined it.

    I wholeheartedly agree with the other recent reviews. Target changed the recipe and reduced the number of ounces per bag. The filling now has garlic powder, which thoroughly ruins this as a go-to quick-fix dinner for me and my kids. It used to be the most affordable garlic-free tortellini in my area and was excellent with chicken and broccoli. Not anymore!

    Changed recipie and increased the price. Not worth it anymore

    As a college student, this was my go to meal during exam weeks due to ease + price. They changed the recipe for the worse and increased the price. It’s not worth the new price. Even for the old price, it tastes fake and I wouldn’t buy it. I’ll be going back to Rana despite the higher price

    Terrible changes

    It used to be so delicious! Now it has such a terrible texture and is mushy and firm at the same time, and it feels like there’s little pieces of sand in it - tiny hard pieces. And it lost its unique and delicious taste - now the taste is very basic and plain. So sad to lose one of my absolutely favorite foods!!

    Changed pasta they didn't have to

    Loved this before it went off the market for whatever overhaul they made. Well, when it came back, it changed. When it's hot, it's too salty...without adding salt. I make a cold tortellini salad & this used to be my go to. Not anymore.mWhen it's cooked & cooled, the pasta is mushy.
