Not a fan
I love all the protein bars so we thought we would try these. Nice try, but they are dry and just don't quite hit the mark.

Nope.
Dry, mealy, bad. 😬 tried frozen, heated, straight from the bag—all terrible. Please try again with this one! Great idea 💡

Pastry dough does not taste good
The filling isn’t horrible but the actual pastry part is dry and tastes like plastic. Just not a good flavor at all. We bought 3 different flavors and they were all the same. Super disappointing.

Pop-tart? More like poop-tart
Biggest disappointment of my life. We all had one bite and have been fighting for our lives in the bathroom.

Sus bathroom experience
They taste like a Pop-Tart that lost the will to live. The texture is incredibly dry, hard to chew, and even harder to swallow. My friend, her husband, and I each had ONE bite, and within about four hours, all three of us were dealing with some pretty serious bathroom consequences. I can’t say with 100% certainty that these were the cause, but the timing was certainly sus. Three people, one bite each, and suddenly we’re all fighting for our lives in the bathroom? I’ll pass and you should too.

Don’t buy the pastries.
I’ve been a long time subscriber to Magic Spoon cereal. I don’t remember the last time I wrote a review, but I felt this would be helpful feedback to Magic Spoon. I’m a long time cereal subscriber. Their cereal bars are pretty good, but I’m shocked these pastries are absolutely horrible.. I can barely taste the filling because the pastry itself tastes like protein cardboard. I’ve had numerous people try what I purchased because I wanted to get more opinions, and not one person wanted to swallow their bite. I really don’t know how these passed product testing! I wouldn’t buy until they drastically improve these, or they shouldn’t offer these at all.

Protein pastry
This is dry and tasteless. No strawberry taste at all. It's awful. Couldn't finish one pastry. Just threw it out

My first Magic Spoon Disappointment
Everything I've ever had from Magic Spoon has been awesome. Until these. I hated these. They are nothing like a traditional toaster pastry. In fact, they can't even be heated in a regular toaster. The consistency is similar to a Fig Newton but with very minimal filling. Just a barely there red line in the middle of the driest, most awful tasting pastry. I imagine it's the protein content that makes it taste so bad. It's very chalky and dry. The filling didn't really have much of a flavor because there was so little. The icing is the reason they can't be popped into a vertical toaster. Not really enough to taste, though. There's only four in a box and I only finally tried these because of a discount. Very grateful I never tried these at full price because I very much dislike them and the price is way too steep for four. I still have one left and I don't want to waste it but I am dreading choking it down. I have tried them room temp, heated, and chilled. Nothing really helped. Magic Spoon had some amazing products but this is a huge miss for me. I do not recommend.

Dry with no filling
It’s like they forgot to put in the strawberry filling. GF people always get the short end of the stick, I’ll be returning

Nastiest thing ever
I never write reviews, but this is the worst tasting thing ever!! It’s like a dry piece of rotten cardboard. The filling is nonexistent. And the instructions say to not put it in the toaster because the frosting well melt and burn?! It’s like throwing money down the toilet and then licking the bowl afterwards. That’s how bad it is.

Delicious!!!
I really wanted to try these! Im gluten free and have to watch my sugar. I found these at my store and bought the frosted strawberry and smores. I've only tried the strawberry and already hooked 😍 they remind me of nutrigrain and poptarts combo. So good!! You guys are doing an amazing job and thank you for your amazing cereals. Love magicspoon 🤘🏽
